Race 1	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C0 - 375	THRILLING SOLO was very slow to begin losing several lengths but then quickly made up ground to be handy on the home turn. THRILLING SOLO then had to check off the heels of TALKABOUT CHILL, lost a little ground and finished in 6th place. FORGET NOT Ex Wanganui on 27.08.08 BOLTS BOLTED Ex Wanganui on 27.08.08.
Race 2	GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 375	All clear. THRILLING BETH Udy & McCracken Rule 64 Suffering from a sesamoid injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.09.08.
Race 3	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES - HEAT 1 - RESq - 457 Heat 1	One of the favourites JAMES BEE went to the first corner a little wide on the track and then dropped out to finish several lengths last. JAMES BEE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with bruising to the thigh muscles. THRILLING LUCY K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.09.08. JAMES BEE W.T.Hodgson Rule 82 Suffered bruising to a thigh muscle and stood down for 7 days to and including 07.09.08.
Race 4	BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C1 - 375	FLIRTATIOUS WINK was pressured from the outside in the race to the first corner and was checked back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. PALEFACE SHADOW was bumped and turned sideways on the first corner and he never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. IT'S PERSONAL Ex Wanganui on 27.08.08.
Race 5	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES - HEAT 2 - RESq - 457 Heat 1	MR CLONTARF was away well but then drifted back to be last on the bend and stayed there to the finish. MR CLONTARF was examined by the Vet and stood down for 7 days with a quadricep muscle injury. MR CLONTARF A & J Hall Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 07.09.08.
Race 6	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C5 - 375	All clear.
Race 7	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES - HEAT 3 - RESq - 457 Heat 1	BIGTIME NEV was tightened between runners soon after the start and dropped back to last and stayed there to the finish. BIGTIME NEV was examined by the Vet and stood down for 21 days with a quadricep muscle injury. MARTY HALL A & J Hall Rule 64 Suffering from toe injuries and stood down for 14 days to and including 13.09.08. BIGTIME NEV G.Farrell Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 21 days to and including 21.09.08.
Race 8	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C2 - 375	WINSOME CRUISER was slow to begin and then recieved a check on the first corner losing more ground. WINSOME CRUISER then made up ground well to finish a very close 2nd place. THRILLING NATH K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from kennel cough and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.09.08.
Race 9	DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SERVICES - C3 - 375	One of the favourites REWIRED was awkwardly placed in the early stages and was well back on the first corner. He then ran on well for 4th place.
Race 10	THANK-YOU JOANNE BULL STAKES - C4 - 375	BAXTER'S BOY and FINAL EPISODE were checked and lost ground in the race to the first corner and they lost all chance of a placing.
