Race 1	LYNFIELD TAB MAIDEN FINAL - C0f - 318	WINSOME SKY was slow to jump and then checked when attempting to improve into the bend. HISTORY RETOLD was also checked at this stage and ran wide. HISTORY RETOLD then ran to the inside on the home turn and appeared to clip the rail with his hind leg. A post race veterinary check of HISTORY RETOLD revealed no injury. There was no head on view available for this race. THRILLING ZING (K Walsh) kennel cough. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 8 September 2008.
Race 2	GARRARD'S HORSE & HOUND PUKEKOHE STAKES - C2/3 - 527	KITTY'S THUNDER jumped quickly from wide out and crowded HUCKY HUCK, WATCH THAT WHALE and THRILLING WOLF soon after. On the first bend THRILLING NEO checked outwards and lost ground settling last.
Race 3	INTER-ISLANDER SPRINT - C3 - 318	In a very tightly compacted field into the bend KING'S CONQUEST was tightened and lost a length. At this stage DREAM A WIN ran outwards and forced BIGTIME LEGEND over extra ground. A post race veterinary check of MOHICAN HARRY revealed an infected nail bed with an eight day stand down recommended. MOHICAN HARRY (LJ Laagland) infected nail bed. Rule 82.1. 8 days up to and including 7 September 2008.
Race 4	GRASSROOTS TRUST STAKES - C4/5 - 527	All clear.
Race 5	BROWNZY'S SPORTS BAR SPRINT FINAL - C1f - 318	Favourite MANLY MAGIC and HOMEBUSH HOUDINI were both tightened into the bend with both dogs losing ground and finishing well back. A post race veterinary check of HOMEBUSH HOUDINI revealed a left quadraceps muscle injury with a ten day stand down recommended. HOMEBUSH HOUDINI (K&J Maisey) left quadricaeps muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 9 September 2008.
Race 6	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C2 - 318	FLYBY JOEY came together with MISS SILENCE into the bend and lost ground remaining at the rear. A post race veterinary check of FLYBY JOEY revealed neck pain with a seven day stand down recommended. EYES A TITLE (CJ Derecourt) injuries after dog fight. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 8 September 2008. FLYBY JOEY (DW Mathews) neck pain. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 6 September 2008.
Race 7	CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C5 - 318	CANYA SEE ME was inclined to run outwards in the run down the back straight causing WAITAK THUNDER and CAWBOURNE KERRY to be tightened and lose ground. At the lure SUPER HOUND got under the rail but escaped without any injury.
Race 8	MEADOWSET GRAPHICS STAKES - C1 - 527	This race was delayed by two minutes due to a false start at the previous harness meeting. The race was all clear. DRILLING DAM (BDF Craik) was a late scratching at kennelling with a swollen left carpus possibly caused by an insect bite. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 7 September 2008. THRILLING CATCH (W Steele) was a late scratching as the dogs were retrieved from the kennels with dehydration and slight diarrhoea. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 5 days up to and including 4 September 2008.
Race 9	PROTECTOR SAFETY STAKES FEATURE - C4 - 527	All clear.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK - C1 - 318	WAIKIKA PIRATE and WULFGAR were the slowest to jump. GREG SMURFEE and CAWBOURNE CARD came together in the run to the bend and lost ground.
