Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C2/3 - 520	BIGTIME GUY was bumped and pushed wide going into the back straight and he never recovered and finished in last place. BIGTIME PAUL Ex Wanganui on 20.08.08.
Race 2	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C2/3 - 305	All clear.
Race 3	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1/2 - 520	KAI MOANA was a little slow to begin and then ran wide on the bends over extra ground and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 4	ALISA WHITFORD STAKES - C4 - 520	LYRICAL BALE and BAXTERS LAD bumped together for several strides on the first bend and settled well back and stayed there to the finish. One of the favourites PINK RELTUB shared the lead into the first bend but then ran wide and faded out to finish in 2nd last place. PINK RELTUB was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. HONCHO J.T.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 5 days to and including 25.08.08.
Race 5	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1d - 645	All clear. HEZA LIL Ex Southland on 21.08.08.
Race 6	KEENAN CONCRETE - C4/5 - 520	The favourite JETLINE was severely checked on the first corner and went back through the field to last. JETLINE never recovered and finished at the rear and was then examined by the Vet as a precautionary measure and cleared of injury.
Race 7	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C5f - 520	GRINGO was checked soon after the start and again on the first corner and was last into the first bend. GRINGO did make up some ground from there and finished in 5th place.
Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4/5 - 305	CAB DRIVER was very slow to begin losing several lengths but made up ground well for 5th place. TWIST MIST moved in on the first corner and checked EVAMORE who lost ground. On the home turn SALLY'S BABE moved out and checked EVAMORE and TWIST MIST and they finished in the last three places.
Race 9	WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C4/5 - 305	ANOTHER LAUREL was tightened between runners soon after the start and fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. CAWBOURNE KERRY moved in on the first corner and checked PIZZA GIRL who lost momentum for a couple of strides. BACHELOR J.T.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from wrist pain and stood down for 10 days to and including 30.08.08.
Race 10	SEE YOU @ 'THE RED' - C4 - 305	The favourite MIRKOLA BALE ran in from the start and collided with ARATAKI and lost ground. She then ran wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in 5th place. ADAMINSKI W.T.Hodgson Rule 64 Suffering from an infected spike wound and stood down for 10 days to and including 30.08.08. HOMEBUSH AUSSIE J.T.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 5 days to and including 25.08.08. BLUE CHIP VIRUS Gained a start in race 9.
