Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer DM Smith was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when CREEK DIAMOND weighed in at 34.2 kgs which was 1.3 kgs under his last race weight on 7 August 2008.
Trainer PG Lowen was given a final warning for being late to retrieve his dog prior to Race 5.

Favourite THRILLING BLOKE led until the turn but weakened out in the home straight to finish fifth. | Race 4 | RAGLAN STAKES - C1 - 457 | SHY NEENA was the last to jump. On the home turn MILVALE BALE checked outwards off runners when looking for racing room. He ran on well for fourth. |
| Race 5 | TAUWHARE DASH - C1 - 375 | HITMAN FRED was the last to jump but made ground very late to be a closing sixth. WHERE'S MARK was tightened on the inside into the bend and lost ground finishing last. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. |
| Race 6 | PROTECTOR SAFETY SPRINT - C2/3 - 375 | Favourite PRETTY FUNNY ran wide on the home turn and lost ground but ran on for fourth. Following this event THRILLING RIDDLE was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a torn nailbed with a seven day stand down recommended. THRILLING RIDDLE (RP O'Regan) torn nailbed. | Race 7 | SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLL STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | Favourite FANCY BEAR was checked on the home turn as kennelmate KING'S CONQUEST ran inwards to the rail. FANCY BEAR lost all momentum at this stage and these two dogs filled the last two placings. |
| Race 8 | RACEWAY SPRINT - C5 - 375 | ANNIE'S BRAT was tightened in between LEERIZE and BRIGHT CONQUEST into the bend and stumbled losing momentum. ANNIE'S BRAT did well to recover for second.
