Judicial report: Weather: Fine M&J Hill, the trainers of REMUS, a starter in Race 12, were fined $50 under Rule 69.1 when presenting the dog to race at 1.4kg under his last race start weight.
LH Anderton, the trainer of BERT BADGER, a starter in Race 12, was fined $50 under Rule 69.1 when presenting the dog to race at 1.2kg under his last race start weight. --

| Race 1 | OSBOURNE ENGINEERING, BLUFF - C0 - 390 | HOMEBUSH TREVOR was slow to leave the boxes but ran on in the home straight to get up for fourth. Into the turn CAWBOURNE GEORGA moved outwards and checked the running of MAGNIFICENT with both dogs finishing towards the rear. |
| Race 2 | $22 MUZZLE STAKES - C1 - 390 | TEDDY NOVA was very slow to leave the boxes but ran wide around the field and came home strongly to win. From the jump DARK ZEPHYR moved across to the rail and checked the running of GATLIN ANGEL with both these dogs tailing off to finish at the rear. |
| Race 3 | ASCOT PARK HOTEL - C0 - 390 | BLOOMING MABEL jumped to the lead early but tied up in the run to the turn and drifted back to finish last. A post race veterinary check showed the dog had muscle tenderness in the front right shoulder muscle and after the dog had cooled down she was walking freely with no stand down recommended. Whilst improving along the inside HAILSTONE HARLY struck the rear of HE'S SO FINE with NIKOS PORSCHE also receiving a bad check. All three dogs finished at the rear of the field. CALL ME recovered to run on well for fourth and LOCHINVAR VOLCOM finished towards the rear. Into the turn NURSE NANCY crossed over and collided with NOT A WHATA who fell heavily and lost all chance. A post race veterinary check showed NOT A WHATA had a sore giht hind leg and bleeding from the nose with a 7 day stand down recommended.
