Judicial report: Weather: Fine THE LURE DRIVER Mr T Pilcher was spoken to regarding the length of the lure in the early stages of race one.We have differing opinions on the matter ,but the rules cleary state a correct preffered distance that the lure should travel in front of the field
Mr Pilcher was also spoken to regarding his obligations on raceday when employed by the club to drive the lure , as he was not in position at the required time for race six and had left the lure in the wrong starting position for that race.
He was strongly advised that from now on he will face the consequences should these matters arise again
Handler N Clark has been warned regarding his comments to a track offical as the dogs were returning after race ten. ----------.

Race 1	OROUA DOWNS TANNERY - C0 - 375	POWER OF ZEN went up with the lids and lost several lengths and could not get in to contention from there on in LUCRATIVE was slow away , soon after came together with UNO I'M QUICKfor several strides LUCRATIVE vever recovered from there and finished in last position There was no head on coverage from trackside for this race TAKE COVER B R D Cole was a late scratching due to an Owners dispute no penalty imposed
Race 2	RADIO WORKS MANAWATU - C1 - 375	THRILLING LARK one of the favoured runners was slow away losing several lengths , but ran on for 4th placing at the line Racing down to the first turn there was tightning and jostling between THRILLING CHARM,BENBULBEN BEN and TUI THUNDER for several strides as BENBULBEN BEN attempted to get down to the rail TUI THUNDER and BENBULBEN BEN never recovered from this incident finishing at the rear-- THRILLING CHARM agravatted and old injury during the running on left front leg and has had sutures with a 7 day stand down imposed--------. . THRILLING CHARM B L Goldsack sutures inserted in left front leg Rule 82.1. 7 days stand down to and including 24.08.08.
Race 3	GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY - HEAT 1 - C4q - 375 Heat 1	As the field made their way towards the first turn AGENT VICKI got up on the heels of HE'S A KIWI causing her to be checked back , also PREMIER STAR went around this dog and took the line of ADAMINSKI who went back on AGENT VICKI causing her to be checked again, these two dogs could not recover from that point on finishing in the last two places at the line. COUNT LANI was a scratching due to a stifle injury. GONE WILD was a scratching under the 100km rule.----------. COUNT LANI B R D Cole injury to left stifle dog presented veterinary certificate suppled Rule 64.12. 5 days stand down to and including 22.08.08. GONE WILD O K Marron 100km rule 63.10 no penalty
Race 4	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C1 - 375	Racing down to the first turn LISSADEL SAM came off the fence sharply and running up on to PISTOL LARRY almost dragging him down,LISSADEL SAM carried on running out and collided with his kennel mate SOLOTAIRE STAR with these two dogs almost hitting the outside fence KRISSY BALE who was racing behind these dogs had to change ground inwards to avoid the trouble and suffered a dew claw injury as a result. KRISSY BALE was examined by the veterinary surgeon and a 7 day stand down was imposed. LISSADEL SAM was examined by the veterinary surgeon where no abnormalities were found FLIRTATIOUS WINK was a scratching due to diarrhea.----------. Race 5	GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY - HEAT 2 - C4q - 375 Heat 1	FANCY ALEX (fav) was very slow away from the boxes , but was able to gain an uninterrupted run around the field and ran on for a brave 2nd placing at the line KING'S CONQUEST began awkwardly and then had to check back off the heels of KIA KAHA for a couple of strides. Across the top bend BLUE CHIP VIRUS tried to gain ground between KIA KAHA and KING'S CONQUEST but was squeezed back out of it and finished in last place at the line----------.
Race 6	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C5 - 457	Soon after the start DADDY was checked back as WORK RELEASE and MR CLONTARF came across towards the rail, a short distance on RED RUSH and WORK RELEASE came together for several strides as they raced in to the first turn TRENDY MOMENT from out wide was able to steer clear of trouble in the early rush and was able hang on to win ----------.
Race 7	BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C4/5 - 375	As the field raced towards the first turn LEERIZE came across quickly fromto find the rail and caused checks to BLACK TIE and AUSTIN, they both lost several lengths but ran on well to fill the minor placings BIGTIME DORA was a scratching due to a dew claw injury----------. BIGTIME DORA D A Gough injury to dew claw on right front veterinary certificate supplied Rule 64.12. 7 days stand down to and including 22.08.08.
Race 8	FREEDOM PRINT & DESIGN HOUSE - C1 - 457	Racing down to the first turn THRILLING JOSH came out sharply under the neck of KIWI SAVER as this dog was attempting to cut down to the rail KIWI SAVER brushed the rail slightly as they started in to the first turn and finished up in 5th placing at the line
Race 9	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY, LTD - C2 - 375	MADAM KEISHA was slow away from the boxes which cost her valuable ground early, but was able to run in to 2nd placing at the finish. THRILLING BREE was a scratching due to a muscle injury THRILLING BREE A Udy &H McCracken shoulder muscle injury veterinary certificate ,dog to be presented on 20..8.08 Rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 26.8.08
