Health and Safety comment: as a result of HAILSTONE HERB (Race 1), KARL BAXTER (Race 13) and HOMEBUZZ BUZZ (Race 19) all weighing 1.1kgs respectively under their last race start weights.

Judicial report: Weather: Fine and warm RD Blackburn pleaded guity to a charge under Rule 88.1.q. when late to the catching area at the conclusion of Race 3, after having agreed to catch MR BONZALES. She was fined $25.00, after taking into account that she reached the catching area soon after the race conclusion.
SR Fagan was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when COLDHARBOR, a starter in Race 16 weighed in 1.7kgs under his last race start weight.
JT McInerney was fined $50.00 on each of 3 charges under Rule 69.11

Into the bend FACE OFF eased off the heels of THEMELO and came back on HAILSTONE HERB and MOJAVE MICK and as a result BOUNCEN BLITZEM was forced wide on the track. Race 2 CHALLENGE ALL-UP SPRINT - C1 - 295 Into the bend BANJO'S MISTAKE, BREENY'S GIRL, LEO'S BOY and HOMEBUSH JOCK were tightened when racing back in the field.
Race 3 WWW.GREYHOUNDTIPS.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the first bend HANSOME HARRY and FIERY FALCON came together with FIERY FALCON checked and as a result WANDY HAKA and ENSIGN were tightened. CLAN SAVIOUR (HG Cairns) trainers property under water. Rule 64.5. No penalty. IRISH BOMBER (Hart/Taylor) diarrhoea and dehydrated. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Race 4 DANNY MILLWARD PLASTERING SPRINT - C1 - 295 MCMANUS drifted soon after the jump. Into the bend CHILE DAN moved off the fence and squeezed HANNAH BRAND out onto NEED A NURSE on the outside. HANNAH BRAND was checked back to last.
Race 5 ROBBIES BAR & BISTRO STAKES - C0 - 520 Into the first bend KNOW LOVE moved out onto OFF THE RAILS and as a result HOMEBUSH TREVOR tangled with CARNABY who dropped out to last. CLAN MCDEE (HG Cairns) trainers prooperty under water. Rule 64.5. No penalty.
Race 6 POWER FARMING LTD DASH - C0 - 295 WHAT JUSTICE hesitated out of the boxes and didn't recover beating only one home. WORLD OF VENUS was also slow to jump and finished last.
Race 7 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY STAKES - C0 - 520 Into the first bend TOYA and CHILE TART were tightened. Across the top TWICE AS HOT struck the hind quarters of HOMEBUSH TUI with both dogs losing ground and impeded the progress of CHILE TART who was improving quickly. KERBSIDE who was handy entering the back straight gradually gave ground to finish last.
Race 8 HAMPDEN TAVERN STAKES - C2 - 520 Into the first bend ALL TIGER moved out as TWO TICK JESSIE improved around the outside with the result that RIVIERA CHIC was squeezed and badly checked, losing all chance. On the final bend ALL TIGER checked off the heels of an improving ARTERIAL BALE and dropped out to finish last. A post race veterinary examination revealed ALL TIGER MICRO DOTTIE (JM Jopson) right shoulder sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 August 2008. PYRAMID EYES (Hart/Taylor) starter in Race 15.
Race 9 CAROLS T.A.B SPRINT - C0 - 295 DIRT TRAK COWBOY drifted soon after the start and remained at the rear of the field thereafter. Into the bend CAWBOURNE HAPPY improved across from an outside draw and caused general tightening with JEALOUS GUY suffering a check which put him back to the rear of the field. Into the home straight the leader GIMME A SHOT ran wide on the track and although he balanced up and ran on just failed to regain the lead.
Race 10 FLAIR DASH - C0 - 295 Soon after the jump HOMEBUSH EARL and IRONIC tangled causing the trailing MULBERRY NIPPER to be hampered.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C1 - 295 Soon after the jump DA COOLA, MISS WICKLOW and BONDI BRINDI tangled. Soon after ELLE VOLI moved out and contacted DA COOLA who went back to last before running home powerfully for fourth. Into the home straight BONDI BRINDI became unbalanced when forced wide while trying to improve from the rear.
Race 12 COASTERS TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the first bend THIS AND THAT moved out from the rail and pushed MACK'S BOUNTY onto the hindquarters of BYE BYE HELEN who was badly checked, losing all chance.
Race 13 NUTRI-ZING SPRINT - C3 - 295 The favourite FINE ARTS was slow to jump and settled back and was held up on the home turn before railing through powerfully to grab fourth.
Race 14 SOUTHERN TRUST STAKES - C1 - 520 MR JOLES was slow to leave the boxes and stayed back. Into the first bend LAGOON MONROE when handy was tightened by SMART SHARMILA and lost momentum drifting to the rear of the field. CHILE MAID (LJ Waretini) infected dew claw. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 8 August 2008.
Race 15 PICK 6 LEG 1 - C2 - 520 TRENDY OPAWA, WHO'S SHIFTY and PYRAMID EYES were tightened into the first bend dropping to the rear and never improving. SOUTHERN MAN (HG Cairns) trainers property under water. Rule 64.5. No penalty.
Race 16 SUPER PETS STAKES - C3 - 520 Soon after the start BILLY BAXTER was squeezed back to the rear and never recovered. Into the first bend SCOTT NO TRACK checked off the heels of SMART JOSEPHINE and lost ground. A stride later he tangled with WINSOME CYCLONE and was then checked when ROSAMOND who had run wide on the turn came back to the rail. HOMEBUSH BRADLEY (JT McInerney) left hind sesamoid sprain. Race 17 GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING SPRINT - C2 - 295 Into the bend ANOTHER NOTCH moved out and checked SOLID HAND and BOTOX BARBIE who went back on the trailing THRILLING FURY and BLACK INN BRAVE.
Race 18 KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C3 - 520 Into the back straight YOUR TURN and GROOVY BAND came together losing ground and finishing at the rear of the field. GROOVIN'BAIN (AC Roberts) sutures to left stopper pad. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 17 August 2008. ROSAMOND (JT McInerney) starter in Race 16.
Race 19 BE BACK THURSDAY NIGHT DASH - C4 - 295 BLAZIN A TRAIL was slow to jump. On the final bend MICRO SISSY ran out and carted ROCKY POCKETS wide on the track, both dogs losing all chance.
Race 20 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C5 - 520 LYRICAL BALE and KNOW WHEN came together into the first bend checking ACACIA CREEK, all three losing ground. WINSOME JUNIOR (J&D Fahey) left fore neck muscle sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 August 2008.
