Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy TRAVEL HAPPY completed a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1.
D.Parata the Trainer of THRILLING BLAKE was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.9 kilograms overweight.
Kennel Steward Mr G.Tapiki was reprimanded after it was established that he moved a dog from one kennel to another in the absence of the Trainer. Mr Tapiki alpoligized for his mistake but the dog who had been nominated for a swab was released as a result of the incident.

TAZZYS CHARM and UNO THE HISTORY were checked and lost ground on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. JANES MYNAME C.Morris Rule 64.10 In a seasonal condition and stood down for 28 days to and including 27.08.08.
Race 2 SULLIVANS DRY CLEANING LTD, LEVIN - C0 - 457 NOSH IN SOCKS ran in from the start and checked SEDGBROOK LASS who lost ground. SHAKIN' MARTINI checked over the heels of DEAL FOR YOU on the home turn but recovered to finish well to win.
Race 3 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - HEAT 1 - C3q - 375 Heat 1 HOMEBUSH BEX began awkwardly and settled at the rear and she stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 4 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #1 GRADUATION - HEAT 1 - RESq - 457 Heat 1 UPAHUT FLYER and SEDGEBROOK GOLD collided on three ocassions near the home turn and they dropped back to finish at the rear. One of the favourites BIGTIME GUY was handy early in the race but then drifted back to be last near the straight entrance and finished 3rd last ahead of the two checked runners UPAHUT FLYER and SEDGEBROOK GOLD. BIGTIME GUY was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury or illness. The handler Mr B.Cole reported to the Stewards after the race that BIGTIME GUY had scoured in its kennel prior to the race but the Vet found no evidence that the dog was not fit to have run in the event. A swab was also taken from BIGTIME GUY after the race.
Race 5 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C4/5 - 375 JAMES BEE checked off the heels THRILLING PARIS on the first corner and was checked again on the bend when attempting a gap inside PAPAMOA LASS and he never recovered and finished at the rear. AUSTIN Ex Manawatu on 31.07.08
Race 6 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #1 GRADUATION - HEAT 2 - RESq - 457 Heat 1 JIMMY THUNDER was checked twice near the home turn and lost some ground.
Race 7 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #1 GRADUATION - HEAT 3 - RESq - 457 Heat 1 All clear.
Race 8 COMPANY BRANDING SHOP, LEVIN - C1 - 375 EMILY BREEZE ran in from the start and bumped the favorite SHARKY MAGOO who lost ground and settled back in the field and finished in 3rd last place. JOSHIE'S GIRL W.T.Hodgson Rule 64 Suffering from an infected hind paw and stood down for 7 days to and including 09.08.08.
Race 9 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - HEAT 2 - C3q - 375 Heat 1 THRILLING POLAR was very slow to begin and lost four lengths. DREAMY LOVE and HEALING CRYSTAL bumped together on the first corner and lost ground and they finished in the last two places. THRILLING BURN Ex Wanganui on 01.08.08.
Race 10 MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - C1 - 375 VOODOO CHARM was checked on the bend, went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
