Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer GN Pomeroy was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when BIGTIME SNOWIE weighed in at 34.6 kgs which was 1.1 kgs over his last race weight on 24 July 2008.
Trainer NP Green was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when POSITIVE GOLD weighed in at 27.4 kgs which was 1.7 kgs under her last race weight on 27 July 2008.

On the first bend RAPID FOOT checked outwards taking the line of ROLL UP which in turn checked PIHA SUNSET and THRILLING FIZZ. Of these dogs ROLL UP made ground well for fourth with the others remaining well back. PIHA SUNSET was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a pad injury with a fourteen day stand down recommended. PIHA SUNSET (D Van Meeuwen) pad injury. He lost ground and finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing a right tensor facia lata muscle injury with a seven day stand down recommended. Into the home straight COWBOY JAKE checked outwards when looking for a run causing WINSOME LIGHT and ROYAL ESCORT to take evasive action. Just after the finish WINSOME LIGHT checked off runners and came into contact with BLACK SPOT PRANG which lost its feet and slid into the outside fence.
