Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C2/3 - 305	KIA KAHA moved out slightly on the first corner and made contact with LUNAR SANDS who was checked and lost several lengths and finished in last place. DREAMY LOVE and CRYSTAL VIRUS were also checked and forced wide in the incident and they finished in the rear group.
Race 2	GUTHRIE BOWRON, WANGANUI - C2/3 - 305	BIGTIME RISK ran in from the start and caused checks to SINBINED, ADAMINSKI and CAWBOURNE MELODY who was the most affected and she lost several lengths and finished in last place. THRILLING BURN Freeman & Turnwald Rule 68 A late scratching due to a torn nail which had failed to heal sufficiently and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.08.08.
Race 3	WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C1/2 - 520	SOICHIRO was a little slow to begin and was then checked back to last on the first corner and stayed in that position to the end. CAWBOURNE DORE, CAWBOURNE WELLSY and THRILLING TIFF jostled together for a few strides soon after the start and lost some ground.
Race 4	MICKEY'S SUPER LIQUOR - C5 - 305	HARKA LEE and SIMPLY BLESSED led to the first corner but they then made contact and both lost ground which they could not make up and they finished 4th and 5th. JAMES BEE was a little slow to begin and settled back but did not appear to be striding out correctly on the bend and finished in 2nd last place. He was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 5	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C3 - 520	DAPTO TOKEN was checked on the first corner and ran wide on the bend losing several lengths. DAPTO TOKEN then checked over the heels of ROYAL RICHIE in the home straight and fell. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. BIGTIME PAUL B.Cole Rule 68 A late scratching due to suffering from a broken tail and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.08.08.
Race 6	WANGANUI SECURITY SERVICES - C1d - 645	All clear. PAUL BAXTER J.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from a webbing injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.08.08.
Race 7	KEENAN CONCRETE - C4/5 - 520	JUDDY and COSMIC ZUES collided on the first corner and lost some momentum but then COSMIC ZUES recovered well to win the race.
Race 8	WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C4/5 - 520	ASAFA BALE and KING'S CONQUEST were checked on the first bend and ASAFA BALE lost several lengths and all chance of a placing and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 9	GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C5 - 305	All clear.
Race 10	SEE YOU @ THE RED - C4 - 305	BIGTIME RETRO and CRYSTAL SAL were checked on the first corner and they lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. SILVER CITY B.Rangiuia Rule 64 Suffering from a hock infection and stood down for 10 days to and including 09.08.08.
