Race 1	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C0 - 375	THRILLING STING began awkwardly losing ground and all chance of a placing. UNO I'M QUICK ran in from the start and forced BENBULBEN BEN in causing checks to LUCRATIVE and POWER OF ZEN who went back to the rear and stayed there to the finish.
Race 2	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 375	THRILLING RIP raced at the rear throughtout the race and did not appear to be striding out correctly at the finish. He was examined by the Vet and stood down for 28 days with a tendon injury. THRILLING RIP S.Gommans Rule 82 Suffered a tendon injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 18.08.08.
Race 3	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C1 - 375	HOMEBUSH ABEL and CAWBOURNE BELLE were handy on the first corner but were checked back to the rear. CAWBOURNE BELLE recovered to finish well for 3rd but HOMEBUSH ABEL stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 4	SPARKY'S RESTAURANT & BAR - C1 - 457	UPAHUT FLYER was jostled for a few strides on the first corner and dropped back to the rear. UPAHUT FLYER then ran wide on the bend over extra ground and finished last.
Race 5	DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SERVICES - C4 - 375	The favourite PADDY FLYIN' was checked on the first corner losing ground and he then ran wide forcing BAXTER'S BOY over extra ground on the bend. PADDY FLYIN' never recovered and finished in 2nd last place. THRILLING PIPER Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a toe injury and stood down for 28 days to and including 17.08.08.
Race 6	WIZARD HOME LOANS STAKES FINAL - C2f - 457	All clear.
Race 7	TOTAL IRRIGATION CENTRAL LTD - C1/2 - 375	MAD DECISION was tightened against the rail on the first corner, went back to the rear and stayed well back to finish in 2nd last place. GO BEN GO and HOMEBUSH ALLY bumped together on the first corner and lost ground. GO BEN GO recovered to win well but HOMEBUSH ALLY stayed back to finish in last place.
Race 8	MCENTEE EVENT HIRE - C5 - 375	LEERIZE ran in from the start and caused checks to BLACK TIE and PREMIERE STAR who lost several lengths. WINSOME CHANCE was also affected in the incident. LEERIZE and WINSOME CHANCE bumped together for several strides in the home straight and dropped back to finish in the last two places. THRILLING SWIFT Ex Wanganui on 18.07.08.
Race 9	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C3 - 375	The favourite REWIRED was checked on the first corner and lost several lengths but then made up ground well to finish in 4th place. REWIRED suffered a webbing injury and was stood down for 14 days. SILVER CITY led in the early part but faded out to finish in last place. She was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. DELLACQUA Ex Auckland on 20.07.08. THRILLING SNOW Ex Wanganui on 18.07.08. REWIRED D.Schofield Rule 82 Checked and suffered a webbing injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 04.08.08.
Race 10	GRANT IRVINE PHARMACY - C4/5 - 457	TRENDY MOMENT was slow to begin and lost three lengths but made up ground well for 5th place. LAGOON FIFI B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from a metacarpal injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 30.07.08.
