Judicial report: Weather: Showery with fine periods Trainer JA Cleaver was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when PROOF PISTOL weighed in at 33.3 kgs which was 1.3 kgs over its last race weight on 13 July 2008.

Race 1 TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C5q - 318 Heat 1 BLACK SPOT PRANG ran outwards into the bend pushing CAWBOURNE CATHY and CANYA SEE ME wider. SYDENHAM SMITH switched to the inside to obtain a run at this time. Following this event THRILLING POWER was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a skin tear requiring sutures with a five day stand down recommended. THRILLING POWER (CJ Derecourt) skin tear - dorsal digit 4 - sutured. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 24 July 2008.
Race 2 BROWNZY'S SPORTS BAR SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 HOMEBUSH KING was slow then tightened into the bend losing ground. GOLD FOOT and KYLASI came together into the bend with THRILLING HAZEL being pushed wide as a result. On the home turn KYLASI received another check and dropped to the rear. A post race veterinary check of KYLASI revealed no injury. GOLD FOOT took a tumble at the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 3 TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C5q - 318 Heat 1 All clear.
Race 4 GUADA FIESTA BAR STAKES - C2/3 - 527 SATSUMA was slow to leave the traps. KEEP YA COOL was tightened and checked down the back straight losing ground and finishing at the rear.
Race 5 $50,000 PICK SIX - C4 - 318 THRILLING CATCH was jostled for a few strides in the run to the bend and lost its place. RIALTO MISSION and BLACK BOOK collided on the home turn when towards the rear. RYMOR REASON (TA Green) strained monkey muscle. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 27 July 2008. LAURETANA BOY (K Sutch-Jones) right hind metatarsal phalangeol injury/sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 31 July 2008.
Race 6 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - C1 - 527 GATLIN JEWEL was very hard to box in this event after getting a toe caught in the boxes. This dog also received a check on the first bend when coming together with kennelmate DENNY JEWEL. A post race veterinary check of GATLIN JEWEL revealed no injury. RANDOM ORBIT (TA Green) left hip support muscle injury. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 28 July 2008.
Race 7 BROWNZY'S SPORTS BAR SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 LUCY'S MINT moved outwards into the bend resulting in THRILLING CHESS, PROOF PISTOL, BIGTIME SNOWIE and BLACK ELLY all coming together with PROOF PISTOL dropping away to finish a long last. A post race veterinary check of PROOF PISTOL revealed a torn gracilis with a forty two day stand down recommended. PROOF PISTOL (JA Cleaver) torn left gracilis. Rule 82.1. 42 days up to and including 30 August 2008.
Race 8 BROWNZY'S SPORTS BAR SPRINT - HEAT 3 - C1q - 318 Heat 1 BREATHLYSE ME ran inwards soon after the jump tightening the favourite COINCIDE, HOMEBUSH BREE, ALL ABOUT MILLY and SERGEANT SCREAM with the latter dog appearing to hit the running rail. A post race veterinary check of SERGEANT SCREAM revealed no injury. THRILLING SLATE (PW Cleaver) injured shoulder. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 13 August 2008. LILY LONGLEGS (K Sutch-Jones) late scratched at Waikato and Districts GRC on 17 July 2008. Rule 68.26. 21 days up to and including 6 August 2008.
Race 9 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL STAKES - C4/5 - 527 ROMAN LEADER was very slow to jump but made ground well for fifth.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK - C3 - 318 THERMOSTATIC was a clear last on settling. DREAM ON CYRUS and NICE CHOICE came together in tight quarters into the bend when midfield. CAWBOURNE JESSIE (Freeman/Turnwald) stood down at Wanganui GRC on 18 July 2008. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 14 August 2008. DELLACQUA (TA Green) strained hock.
