Judicial report: Weather: Showery then Raining Adjourned case from 22 June 2008.
Trainer AR Bowen was fined $350.00 after he admitted a charge of misconduct under Rule 88.1.o. as a result of using threatening language to another handler at Manukau on 22 June 2008. He was also informed that any repeat of this behaviour would almost certainly result in a disqualification of his licence.
Trainers RP O'Regan and SC Mann were both warned under Rule 71.2 for being late to retrieve their respective Greyhounds.

Race 1	OXYSHOT ELMORE OIL SPINT - C2/3 - 318	NICE CHOICE was slow to jump. HOT DOC and YOUNG VALIANT came together into the bend and shortly after DREAM ON CYRUS brought YOUNG VALIANT down from behind. YOUNG VALIANT recovered well for third with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 2	LIVESPORTSBAR.COM STAKES - C1 - 527	POSITIVE GOLD ran inwards on to STAND OUT MATT at the jump with both dogs settling back. CATHY'S CHARGE was checked as the leader TIGGER FOOT closed a gap that she was about to go through at the end of the back straight. CATHY'S CHARGE weakened out to last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 3	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK - C4 - 318	PRETTY FUNNY ran outwards into the bend checking WAITAK THUNDER, CLEAR CONQUEST and DREAMAQUEEN with these dogs all losing their chances.
Race 4	CAROL'S TAB STAKES - C3/4 - 527	DADDY proved very hard to box in this event with handler D Schofield being advised that this dog is to be boxed first in the immediate future. At the jump KING JACK and DADDY came together with DADDY dropping to the rear. At the end of the back straight YOUNG DADDY received a check and lost a couple of lengths.
Race 5	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C0 - 318	GREG SMURFEE and SHY NEENA came together at the jump with SHY NEENA dropping to the rear. On the home turn STANS THE MAN ran very wide losing its chance and finishing last.
Race 6	TRUSTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SPRINT - C2 - 318	LORD OF WAR was tightened into the bend and checked outwards causing BIGTIME DANCER, MISS SILENCE and a trailing MISS EILEEN all to lose ground.
Race 7	INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C1 - 318	In a tightly compacted field THRILLING SLATE and WEE MCGREGOR came together causing EYES A TITLE and CEDI SPECIAL to be checked in behind them losing ground. THRILLING SLATE was galloped on in this incident with a post race veterinary check revealing bruising and minor thigh lacerations with a five day stand down recommended. THRILLING SLATE (PW Cleaver) bruising and minor lacerations to thigh muscles. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 7 July 2008.
Race 8	LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY STAKES - C1/2 - 527	PANDA ANNE checked outwards into the first bend when racing in tight quarters coming into contact with THRILLING ELROY and THRILLING SYD who dropped to the rear. THRILLING SYD finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. Soon after this ARE YOU ENVIOUS checked outwards off FERVID with CANYA RUMBA JACK receiving the backwash and losing ground. SUZIE THE FLUZY (RP O'Regan) right hock strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 July 2008.
Race 9	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL STAKES - C5 - 527	FANCY MAY was checked as kennelmate SLINGBACK crossed to lead out of the front straight and lost a couple of lengths.
Race 10	GUADA FIESTA BAR SPRINT - C5 - 318	TRENDY SON was squeezed in between RIALTO MISSION and SYDENHAM SMITH after 50 metres and went down on her nose losing her chance. Into the bend SYDENHAM SMITH checked outwards when looking for room losing ground.
