Judicial report: Weather: Sunny A charge under Rule 80.1.a was laid against AC Roberts the trainer of BRANDYLICIOUS, a starter in Race 2, of marring the true running of another greyhound during the race. A guilty plea was entered to the charge and, as this was the second similar offence, a suspension of three (3) months under Rule 80.1.a.ii was imposed up to and including 1 October 2008 and the dog was required to complete a satisfactory trial.
JT McInerney, the trainer of SALLY BAXTER, a starter in Race 14, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog weighed in 1.1kg under her last race start weight.
AC Roberts, the trainer of BETTYSUE BALE, a starter in Race 14, was fined $50 under Rule 69.11 when the dog wighed in 1.1kg under her last race start weight.

| Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP SPRINT - C2 - 295 | LAGOON MUNROE was very slow to leave the boxes. HISTORY NEVER, SCARLETT EMPRESS and OLD MATE BOB bumped soon after the jump. Into the bend SCARLETT EMPRESS moved out and forced MIRKOLA BALE onto HIGHWAY BAXTER who lost ground. Into the straight BRANDYLICIOUS, whilst leading the field, ran outwards and marred the running of HISTORY NEVER with both dogs losing ground and fnishing towards the rear. A charge of marring the running of another greyhound was laid against BRANDYLICIOUS and a three (3) month suspension imposed and the dog required to complete a satisfactory trial before starting again. PINBALL WIZARD drifted wide on the track due to this incident but into the final straight moved across to the rail and in checked FINE ARTS. |

| Race 9 | WILSONS SPORTS BAR MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 295 Heat 1 | TEDDY NOVA and CAWBOURNE PACE were slow to jump. Into the bend WORLD WARNING and IRONIC jostled for a number of strides with IRONIC stumbling and losing all chance to finish last. IRONIC was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed no injury. |

Into the bend DA COOLA ran outward and collided with HOMEBUSH EARL lost momentum and dropped out to finish seventh. Into the straight DA COOLA checked off MAGNIFICENT and was struck from behind by HERE'S MAREE NOW. |

WINSOME JUNIOR ran on late for third while SHREK ROXON never recovered and finished at the rear of the field after receiving a further check in the back straight. Into the first turn SMASH PALACE and BETTYSUE BALE crossed over and severely checked MISS KOONAWARRA who went sharply backwards and then received a further check in the back straight but finished on for fifth MISS KOONAWARRA underwent a veterinary inspection which revealed a minor spike wound on her front paw with no stand down recommended. |
| Race 15 | PICK 6 LEG 1 - C2/3 - 295 | Racing across the top HONCHO attempted to improve on the inside of BLACK INN BRAVE when he ran out of room, was checked and struck the running rail dropping out to finish last. HONCHO was subject to a veterinary inspection which revealed a slight laceration to the left hind hip with no stand down recommended. |
