| Race 1 | PELORUS TRUST MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1 | PARK RED was very slow to jump but made up a heap of ground to finish second. ONSET and THRILLING RILEY came together for a stride with ONSET appearing to flick the rail with a hind leg. A post race veterinary check revealed sesamoid pain and spike wounds with a seven day stand down recommended. RED RIVER JET checked outwards off STANS THE MAN into the bend when towards the rear pushing PARK RED wider as he improved. ONSET (JA Cleaver) sesamoid pain and minor spike wounds. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 28 June 2008. |
| Race 2 | GARRARDS HORSE & HOUND PUKEKOHE SPRINT - C3 - 318 | WAKATIPU FLYER and MAD DECISION were both slow to jump. GO BEN GO was checked when racing in tight quarters into the bend as NICE CHOICE ran out slightly. GO BEN GO ran outwards as a result checking WAKATIPU FLYER and MAD DECISION as they attempted to improve. CLEAR CONQUEST (BDF Craik) stood down at Auckland GRC on 19 June 2008. | Race 4 | TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT - C5 - 318 | DEVIL'S COUNTY and CLASSIC BEN both received checks as KING'S CONQUEST crossed to the rail into the bend with these two dogs losing their chances. ZENSU was checked in between runners when vying for the lead on the bend and lost ground. CAWBOURNE JAMES was noticed to be limping when returning after the race with a post race veterinary check revealing a small cut under hid nail with a four day stand down recommended. FORCE OF REVENGE (BRD Cole) throat infection. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 30 June 2008. FIESTY stumbled and lost his chance finishing seventh with a post race veterinary check revealing a joint/nail injury and an accessory carpal ligament strain with a seven day stand down recommended.
