Race 1 ALLIED WORK FORCE 0800 LABOUR - C0 - 305 BIGTIME MISS moved out on the bend and checked BIGTIME MATE who lost ground and the chance of a placing. BIGTIME MISS then moved out in the home straight and pushed HOT SPICEY BOY wide. BIGTIME MISS was examined by the Vet and found to have muscle soreness with a 14 day stand down recommended. However, BIGTIME MISS was found not to have pursued the lure and was stood down for 3 months for a 2nd offence. FAST STASS Ex Aucklend on 15.06.08 DOUBLE DECLUTCH Woolston Bell & Heath Rule 64 Suffering from quadricep muscle injuries and stood down for 28 days to and including 14.07.08. BIGTIME MISS L.D.Bell Rule 80.1 b Failed to pursue the lure and stood down for 3 months to and including 18.09.08 for a 2nd offence. Required to trial under rule 81.1.
Race 2 MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 520 MY ESSENCE was slow to begin but recovered to make up ground and he finished well for 3rd place. GOES OKAY dropped out after the first bend and finished several lengths last. GOES OKAY was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 3 GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C2 - 305 PRAISE was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped back onto BOLD JENNI and they stayed back to finish in the last two places. FANCY BEAR Ex Wanganui on 13.06.08.
Race 4 GUTHRIE BOWRON WANGANUI - C1 - 520 ONE LESSON was observed to ease up on the first corner and went back to last place and stayed well back to finish in 3rd last place. ONE LESSON was examined by the Vet and found to be suffering from thigh muscle bruising but ONE LESSON was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1 b for not pursuing the lure and is required to complete a satisfactory trial. RUNAWAY ROSCO, HUTTPARK FLYER and GUILTY VERDICT bumped together and lost ground on the home turn but were out of contention at the time and they finished in the rear group. KID DELANEY began well but was checked on the first corner and again on the first bend but recovered well to finish in 3rd place. ACCUSER Ex Manawatu on 16.06.08. ONE LESSON D.Schofield Rule 80.1 b Failed to pursue the lure and stood down for 28 days to and including 15.07.08 and required to complete a satisfactory trial.
Race 5 GEON WELLINGTON - C0d - 645 DEBBIE BLUEFIRE scrambled soon after leaving the boxes but recovered without losing too much ground. BANDANNA LEE began awkwardly and lost several lengths. He then made up some ground but appeared to falter entering the final bend and dropped out to finish several lengths last. BANDANNA LEE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 6 KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C2 - 520 The favourite WINSOME LIGHT began a little awkwardly but recovered to be in the lead until the home turn where she tired and she finished in 6th place.
Race 7 WWW.WANGANUICARCENTRE.COM - C3/4 - 305 HOMEBUSH WHO was checked and fell on the bend and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 5 days with a back muscle injury. CAWBOURNE JESSIE Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 5 days to and including 20.06.08. MY SINBAD K.Hanover Rule 63.10 Distance from track rule. No stand down. BIGTIME RETRO L.Ahern Rule 68 A late scratching due to a wrist infection and stood down for 10 days to and including 27.06.08. HOMEBUSH WHO Freeman & Turnwald Rule 82 Checked and fell and suffered bruising to back muscles and stood down for 5 days to and including 22.06.08.
Race 8 WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES - C3/4 - 520 THRILLING GUS checked off the heels of IRRITABILITY on the first bend and moved out forcing BAXTER'S BOY a little wide.
Race 9 PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER - C1 - 305 BIGTIME JULIE was checked on the first corner and went back to last. BIGTIME JULIE, HOMEBUSH MAX and BIGTIME ENCORE bumped together for a few strides on the home turn but were racing at the rear at the time and they finished in the last three places. BIGTIME JULIE was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a carpal bone injury. BIGTIME JULIE McCracken & Goldsack Rule 82 Checked and suffered a carpal bone injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 01.07.08.
Race 10 DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C1 - 305 JILL was checked on the bend when well back in the field and she stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
