Judicial report: Weather: Fine S.Gommans the Trainer of THRILLING COLT was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight.

Race 1 THRILLING KENNELS MAIDEN - HEAT 1 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 DRIVING FORWARD was the slowest away and then ran wide on the bend over extra ground but finished very well for 2nd placing. HOT SPICEY BOY and UNO THE HISTORY were checked back to the rear on the first corner and stayed back to finish in the last two places. HOMEBUSH ELMO and BIGTIME WORLD bumped together on the home turn and BIGTIME WORLD was pushed wide over extra ground.
Race 2 THRILLING KENNELS MAIDEN - HEAT 2 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 THRILLING LARK was slow to begin but secured a rails run and made up ground to finish 4th. EYE ATE UNITED was reasonably well placed on the first corner but then dropped out to finish several lengths last. EYE ATE UNITED was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury and the Stewards were advised that the dog is to be retired. However, if there is a change of mind in that regard, the EYE ATE UNITED will be required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1.
Race 3 THRILLING KENNELS MAIDEN - HEAT 3 - C0q - 375 Heat 1 POWER OF ZEN stumbled out of the boxes losing several lengths and all chance. She finished in 2nd last place. TUI L'AMORE and NELLY JEAN collided early in the race and TUI L'AMORE lost a couple of lengths.
Race 4 WENHAM GRAIN & SEED - C1 - 375 SOLITAIRE STAR ran in on the first corner and collided with the rail and fell. Several metres further on THRILLING TURN collided with CAWBOURNE AIMEE and they both fell. All three dogs were examined by the Vet and two were cleared of injury but CAWBOURNE AIMEE suffered abrasions and was stood down for 7 days. CAWBOURNE AIMEE Freeman & Turnwald Rule 82 Fell and suffered abrasions and stood down for 7 days to and including 15.06.08.
Race 5 BILL BOYD & ASSOCIATES - C5 - 375 There was general tightening soon after the start involving all runners except the eventual winner CHARLIE CASH who had drawn box 8 and raced ahead and out of trouble while the others bumped and jostled for some distance.
Race 6 MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - C1 - 375 The favourite KIWISAVER had to ease slightly on the first corner as outside runners moved across. KIWISAVER then recovered to run on for 3rd place. THRILLING BETH A.Udy Rule 82 Suffered a webbing injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 18.06.08.
Race 7 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C3 - 375 All clear.
Race 8 DELTA DRAINAGE & WATER SERVICES - C2 - 375 The favourite SALLY'S BABE was checked back to the rear soon after the start but recovered well to run on for 2nd place.
Race 9 DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C4 - 375 SOPHIE HALL raced onto the heels of CRYSTAL SAL on the bend and lost ground and finished in 6th place. THRILLING PIPER Ex Wanganui on 06.06.08.
Race 10 WIZARD HOME LOANS - C1 - 457 DENNY JEWEL was slow to begin and tailed the field throughout and finished in last place. One of the favourites MAXWELL COOL was handy to the first corner but was checked, lost several lengths and finished in 2nd last place.
