Race 1 MAJOR JOHN BLAKELEY SPRINT - C5 - 318 GO NOW was tightened between runners soon after the jump losing ground. FANCY LINE was handy until the bend when he dropped out to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed a proximal semitendinosis muscle injury with a ten day stand down recommended. STATELY CONQUEST (SP Clark) gluteal muscle injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 4 days up to and including 11 June 2008. FANCY LINE (DD Schofield) proximal semitendinosis muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 June 2008.
Race 2 CAROL'S TABS STAKES - C4/5 - 527 YOU'RE MY LADY checked outwards into the first bend off FIESTY. Into the back straight KEEP YA COOL received a severe check when racing on the inside of THRILLING WOLF losing many lengths. KEEP YA COOL finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing a hock strain with a ten day stand down recommended. BANDANNA LEE (BRD Cole) quadriceps injury. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 June 2008. KEEP YA COOL (W Steele) right hock strain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 June 2008.
Race 3 PELORUS TRUST DISTANCE - C1/2d - 603 All clear. ROMAN LEADER (BDF Craik) sore right radius. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 13 June 2008. COSMIC ZEUS (JT McInerney) scratched under Rule 63.10. No penalty. BILLY BAXTER (JT McInerney) scratched under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 4 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C4 - 318 RAINBOW CREEK ran outwards into the bend with BLACK BOOK and FORWARD SOLUTION being forced wide around that bend and losnig ground. NEW CLEAR POWER (K Braithwaite) stood down at Auckland GRC on 5 June 2008. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 14 June 2008.
Race 5 TERRY RYAN TIMBER BATTLE OF THE SEXES FINAL - R/Af - 318 TESS TOKAAM was squeezed into the bend and lost ground checking FORCE OF REVENGE who had been slow to jump. These dogs tailed the field home.
Race 6 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DUKE OF EDINBURGH SILVER COLLAR - CONSOLATION - C2d - 779 THRILLING EVO received a slight check into the first bend settling last.
Race 7 LIVESPORTSBAR.COM STAKES - C2/3 - 527 HUCKY HUCK and NO DRAMA DON came together into the first bend losing some ground. YOUNG VALIANT was held up behind them into that bend. Into the home straight NO DRAMA DON checked YOUNG VALIANT as he crossed to the rail with YOUNG VALIANT running outwards at that point.
Race 8 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING DUKE OF EDINBURGH SILVER COLLAR FINAL - C2df - 779 GROOVY FINANCE was tightened into the first bend losing some ground and was also checked on the home turn as he attempted to improve. She ran on for fourth. Favourite FORT SHAKIN' settled at the rear and ran on strongly for third.
Race 9 OPAWA RACING STAKES - C5f - 527 LOBBY LLOYD came up with the lids and settled last. When improving around the first bend he ran out onto EDDY'S GOAL with both dogs losing ground.
Race 10 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SIX PACK - C0d - 603 CLOSE COMBAT ran outwards on the first bend tightening LAGOON LAD and CALM RIP for a stride.
