Race 2 | MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C0 - 520 | The favouurite BIGTIME WORLD was handy until the final bend but then faded out to finish in 2nd last place. Race 3 | GARY ROSS DECORATOR - C2 - 305 | The field was loaded when it was brought to the attention of Stewards that a football was on the track and as a result the lure was put in motion several seconds late after the ball had been retrieved. The payment of dividends was held up while the Stewards examined a video but were satisfied that no runner was inconvenienced and payment was authorised. AMANDA CHOICE jumped on terms with the other runners but was checked soon after, went back to last and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place. |

Race 6 | KEENAN CONRETE 6 PACK - C1 - 520 | THRILLING CHASE was wide over extra ground on the first bend and then checked off the heels of GUILTY VERDICT entering the back straight and went back to last. |
Race 7 | www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C0d - 645 | ELLES HOT ran very wide in the early part and dropped back to race several lengths behind the other runners. ELLES HOT made up ground in the final stages and finished in 6th place. |
Race 8 | WANGANUI FARM SUPPLIES HEAT 1 - C1 - 305 | BIGTIME JULIE ran in from the start and checked GOOD CATCH, HOMEBUSH BEX, SINBINED, NEW BEGINNING and ELSIE BRAND who all lost ground. BIGTIME JULIE was checked on the bend and soon after HOMEBUSH BEX was checked and fell. NEW BEGINNING and SINBINED collided soon after and also lost ground. HOMEBUSH BEX was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. |
Race 9 | PETER SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHER HEAT 2 - C1 - 305 | MADAM KEISHA was slow to begin but made up ground well to finish in 3rd place. LESS THAN IDEAL turned in the boxes and finished a long distance behind the field. She was required to undergo a box trial and this was completed satisfactorily. KENMARE Ex Taranaki on 02.06.08. |
Race 10 | DIMOCKS RETRAVISION HEAT 3 - C1 - 305 | ARANUI SPEEDY moved away from the rail in the race to the first corner and he jostled with PISTOL LARRY for several strides and they finished in the last two places. |
