Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer W Steele was fined $50 when CONTAGEN (Race 2) weighed in at 30.2 kgs which was 1.1 kgs over its previous race weight on 8/5/08.
Trainer D Kettlewell was fine $100 when WHISPERING HOME (Race 5) weighed in at 32.9 kgs which was 2 kgs over its previous race weight on 30/4/08.

Race 1 WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE SPRINT - HEAT 1 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 MISS OBEDIENCE was very slow to begin and failed to recover, finishing last. GOLD FOOT was checked by GREG SMURFEE entering the first bend which in turn inconvenienced THRILLING FORCE. GOLD FOOT checked off the heels of CREEK DIAMOND in the home straight.
Race 2 MATANGI SPRINT - HEAT 2 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 CONTAGEN and LOONEY MAGIC came into contact racing into the first bend with LOONEY MAGIC losing ground and finishing well back, some 15 lengths from the winner.
Race 3 WAIKATO RACEPIX SPRINT - HEAT 3 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 BRONX APPEAL received a check shortly after the start and failed to recover, finishing last.
Race 4 GREYHOUNDS AS PETS SPRINT - HEAT 4 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 Favourite THRILLING CATCH was slow to begin, then checked off the heels of BIGTIME TRACKER racing into the first bend, beating only one home. LAST RIDE checked HITMAN FRED shortly after the start. HITMAN FRED never recovered finishing well back. TAKE HIM jumped to a clear lead before being run down late to finish second. JILL (M Lozell). Sprained right quadriceps. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12, 7 day stand down up to and including 26/5/08.
Race 5 TAMAHERE DASH - HEAT 5 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 Favourite THRILLING BLAKE was a conspicuous last when the boxes opened but made up a lot of ground to finish 5th. PRINCESS WELLSY ran very wide on the first bend forcing WEE MCGREGOR over extra ground.
Race 6 T.A.B. PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE LTD STAKES - C2/3 - 457 All clear.
Race 7 TAUWHARE DASH - HEAT 6 - R/Aq - 375 Heat 1 THRILLING ROMEO was tightened for room between THRILLING GRIT and CALM RIP racing into the first bend. THRILLING ROMEO lost considerable ground in this incident and finished 19 lengths from the winner. CEDI SPECIAL ran wide racing around the first bend. A post race veterinary check of the fourth placed, CALM RIP revealed no abnormalities.
Race 8 RACEWAY SPRINT - C5 - 375 All clear.
Race 9 SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLLS SPRINT - C2/3 - 375 STREET TALL checked RIALTO GUN back onto MOHICAN HARRY just prior to the first bend with RIALTO GUN falling. A post race veterinary check of RIALTO GUN revealed no abnormalities. Favourite DEVIL'S COUNTY raced wide around the first bend before rallying to finish well for third.
Race 10 RACING HERE NEXT THURSDAY @ NOON - C4/5 - 457 TEE SHIRT was a stride slow, then clipped the heels of CROWDED HOUSE while attempting to make ground and fell racing into the first bend. A post race veterinary check of TEE SHIRT revealed a bruised hock with a 3 day stand down recommended. A post race veterinary check was performed on CROWDED HOUSE, he was found to have a bite wound to the left hind leg with a 5 day stand down being recommended. CROWDED HOUSE (W Steele). Bite wound to left hind leg. Rule 82.1, 5 day stand down up to and including 26/5/08. TEE SHIRT (G Lawrence). Bruised hock. Rule 82.1, 3 day stand down up to and including 24/5/08.
