Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer D.Schofield was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 88.1 o when the wrong dog was loaded onto the trailer and FANCY LINE had to be late scratched. T.Downey the Trainer of CENTRAL RAIDER was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.2 kilograms overweight.

Race 1 HAMIL BUILDERS - C0 - 375 During trials 45 minutes before the start time for race one, there was a major malfunction with the lure electrics and the meeting was put back by one hour while parts were obtained and repairs were carried out. The last race was to start at 4.10 p.m instead of the advertised time of 3.20 p.m. LUCHINO was checked on the first corner, lost three lengths and stayed back to finish in 2nd last place.
Race 2 RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C1 - 375 The favourite THRILLING BLAKE was slow to begin and then along with PISTOL LARRY and MC MANNUS, was checked on the first corner and they finished well back.
Race 3 MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C4 - 375 BIGTIME SID was checked back to last on the first corner but did make up some ground to finish in 5th place
Race 4 TIM JOLLY COMMERCIALS, TAUPO - C1 - 457 THRILLING CHASE drifted out to be several lengths last in the early part of the race but was observed to be making up ground over the concluding stages. THRILLING CHASE was examined by the Vet stood down for 7 days with a claw injury. MOST EXCUSED Ex Wanganui on 16.05.08. THRILLING JOSH K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from a pectoral muscle injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 25.05.08. THRILLING CHASE N.Clark Rule 82 Suffered a claw injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 25.05.08.
Race 5 DECOART PRODUCTS LTD, LEVIN - C1 - 375 MANNIN THE WAKA and THRILLING CHARM were checked back to the rear on the first corner and they stayed back to finish in the rear group. BIG DAPTO was checked from behind on the bend and finished in last place.
Race 6 WIZARD HOME LOANS - C2/3 - 457 SALLY'S BABE and NO DRAMA DON jostled together for some distance in the race to the first corner and lost ground and all chance of a placing. ALISHA'S TIGER B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from a carpus injury and stood down for 6 days to and including 23.05.08. JETLINE B.Cole Rule 82 Suffered lacerations to a hind leg and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.05.08.
Race 7 KEVIN O'CONNOR & ASSOCIATES - C2 - 375 PRAISE was checked and fell on the first corner and NOWHERE TO RUN was also checked and lost all chance. CAB DRIVER was also hindered in the incident but recovered to finish in 2nd place. PRAISE was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C0d - 766 KAI MOANA checked over the heels of CAPP MANNERING on the first corner, ran out and forced NOSH IN SOCKS wide over extra ground.
Race 9 MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C5q - 375 Heat 1 All clear. PAPAMOA LASS Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a fibula injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 27.05.08.
Race 10 MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C5q - 375 Heat 1 FANCY LINE was a late scratching due to the wrong dog being placed in the trailer. A written explanation was received from the Trainer and under Rule 64.5 no penalty was imposed on the dog but Trainer D.Schofield was fined $ 100-00 under Rule 88.1 o. THRILLING PIPER was slow to begin losing four lengths and she tailed the field throughout and finished in last place. FANCY LINE D.Schofield Rule 68 A late scratching due to the wrong dog being placed in the trailer. No stand down. THRILLING GERT K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from a bite wound to the left foreleg and stood down for 10 days to and including 28.05.08
