Judicial report: Weather: Overcast and showery Trainer DD Schofield was fined $50.00 for a breach Rule 69.11. when FANCY LINE weighed in at 33.3 kgs which was 1.5 kgs over its last race weight on 2 May 2008.

Race 1 MOTHER'S DAY SPRINT - C0 - 318 GO TEDDY GO was slow from the outside. Into the bend CAWBOURNE BROWNY checked off THRILLING FORCE and lost ground with LOONEY MAGIC losing a length as well. On the home turn CAWBOURNE BROWNY and GO TEDDY GO came together for stride when well back. A post race veterinary check of GO TEDDY GO revealed dermatitis scrotal skin with a seven day stand down recommended. STANS THE MAN (G Calverley) left fore metacarpal joint strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 31 May 2008. GO TEDDY GO (Freeman/Turnwald) dermatitis scrotal skin. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 17 May 2008.
Race 2 LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY SPRINT - C1 - 318 HALSTROM BALE was inclined to run outwards into the bend and came into contact with SUNSET ULTRA when these dogs were well back.
Race 3 GREYHOUNDS AS PETS STAKES - C0 - 527 This race was put back by 15 minutes as the lure was changed due to there being no power to the lure that was being used. SCARFACE PAW was slow to jump settling last. BIGTIME COOL led to the first bend and then was overtaken by THRILLING CATCH in the back straight. On the home turn BIGTIME COOL went up on the outside of the pacemaker but would not run past him and was seen to turn its head to the inside all the way down the straight. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury. BIGTIME COOL was stood down for twenty eight days under Rule 80.1.b for failing to pursue the lure and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial before racing again. WHATA BOWLA (Freeman/Turnwald) stood down at Manawatu GRC on 8 May 2008. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 17 May 2008. BIGTIME COOL (GR Farrell) stood down for 28 days up to and including 7 June 2008 under Rule 80.1.b. and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 4 THERMOPEUTIC PRODUCTS SPRINT - C1 - 318 WULFGAR was tightened between BIGTIME DANCER and BIG ARCHIE into the bend losing ground. As the dog drifted it came into contact with JULIE'S LADY with both dogs losing more ground. A post race veterinary check of WULFGAR revealed sesamoid and accessory bone pain with a ten day stand down recommended.A post race veterinary check of JULIE'S LADY revealed a cut leg requiring sutures with a seven day stand down recommended. There was no head on video available for this race. SERGEANT SCREAM (G Calverley) left hock strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 days up to and including 31 May 2008. WULFGAR (IL George) sesamoid and accessory bone pain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 20 May 2008. JULIE'S LADY (Freeman/Turnwald) cut right fore leg requiring sutures. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 17 May 2008.
Race 5 WWW.AGRC.CO.NZ SPRINT - C4/5 - 318 RYMOR REASON and NEW CLEAR POWER came together in tight quarters into the bend with ANNIES BRAT and HARKA LEE being held up in behind them. THRILLING PIPER was forced wide around these dogs and lost ground.
Race 6 JACKS WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - C1 - 527 SHY ANNE ROSE was wide into the first bend and then lost some ground when crossed by CLOSE COMBAT in the back straight losing more ground and tailing off. A post race veterinary check revealed a carpal strain with a ten day stand down recommended. THRILLING ALBERT (Freeman/Turnwald) laceration and bruising to left stifle. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 14 May 2008. SHY ANNE ROSE (Freeman/Turnwald) right accessory carpal strain. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 20 May 2008.
Race 7 MEADOWSET GRAPHICS SPRINT - C4/5 - 318 BLACK SPOT PRANG tightened most runners soon after the jump as he crossed quickly from its outside draw. Favourite LONGFORD ANNIE was one of the dogs affected but made ground well late for second. Into the bend CAWBOURNE STACEY ran outwards inconveniencing FORWARD SOLUTION and CANYA SEE ME for a few strides. CANYA SEE ME finished last with a post race veterinary check revealing a split webbing with a ten day stand down recommended. CANYA SEE ME (DD Schofield) split webbing. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 20 May 2008.
Race 8 LIVESPORTSBAR.COM - C2 - 318 DEVIL'S COUNTY and TIGGER FOOT came together into the bend with EQUITY ECHO receiving a sharp check in behind them losing ground. BIGTIME LEGEND received a check and ran outwards on the home turn as an improving DEVIL'S COUNTY improved around him pushing TIGGER FOOT very wide around that turn. Following the race EQUITY ECHO was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a hock strain with a possible hairline fracture with a twenty one day stand down recommended. THRILLING SYD (AR Bowen) stood down at Auckland GRC on 8 May 2008. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 17 May 2008. EQUITY ECHO (Freeman/Turnwald) strained or possibly hairline fracture of hock. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 31 May 2008.
Race 9 $30,000 PICK SIX - C4/5 - 318 CROWDED HOUSE tightened HOMEBUSH WHO and DAPTO GLOSS as he raced past them into the bend with FANCY LINE having to check outwards to avoid these dogs.
Race 10 PELORUS TRUST DISTANCE - C1d - 603 SATSUMA was checked in the run to the first bend settling well back.
Race 11 PACIFIC SHEET & COIL STAKES - C1 - 527 SKIP THE LABEL and PERSUASION came together on the first bend losing ground and settling well back.
Race 12 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING - C4/5 - 527 THRILLING WOLF checked KILLER TOUCH on the first bend when attempting to avoid ROYAL SQUADRON. These dogs lost ground and all finished well back. MICRO BENNY (DD Schofield) left hind digit split webbing. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 16 May 2008.
Race 13 CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C2/3 - 318 MOHICAN HARRY checked outwards into the bend on to RIALTO GUN who in turn ran outwards pushing DADDY'S DESTINY and MISS WOOFY COOKA over extra ground and losing their chances.
Race 14 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PACK - C2 - 318 Permission was granted for BAXTER'S BOY to race without strapping. CAWBOURNE WELLSY and AGENT WHALE came together at the back of the field losing more ground and tailing the field home.
