Judicial report: Weather: Showery and cold Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when SAMUAL BAXTER weighed in at 33.9 kgs which was 1.1 kgs over its last race weight on 1 May 2008.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C5 - 295 LEUMEAH MISS checked off the back of ANGELITO into the bend with DUWANNA HAND climbing on the back of LEUMEAH MISS as she drifted. These dogs all finished well back behind ANOTHER GALE who posted her fiftieth win in this race.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C3 - 520 SANDAVE and LOCHINVAR VUITON came together soon after the jump with the favourite MR. JAZZ also receiving a slight check and settling back. He ran on well late for second. HONCHO (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 13 May 2008. BETTYSUE BALE (AC Roberts) was a late scratching at kennelling with a left shoulder muscle tear. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 22 May 2008.
Race 3 WWW.CANTERBURYPROPERTY.CO.NZ STAKES - C4/5 - 520 LAGOON PHOENIX and ROMAN HOME came together for a couple of strides into the back straight. ROMAN HOME made ground late for fifth.
Race 4 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C4 - 520 ASAFA BALE took its normal wide course into the first bend forcing FRENCH INVADER and FREDDIE SAGE over extra ground. GLEN ABBEY MOON was squeezed between NITRO JAKE and FRENCH INVADER into the first bend and dropped to the rear. She was still seventh on the home turn but made a lot of ground to finish fourth.
Race 5 GARDEN CITY CHEM DRY STAKES - C4/5 - 520 Favourite WINSOME DAISY was awkwardly away losing a few lengths and settling last. She improved quickly to be handy enough down the back straight and battled well for third. BAXTERS LAD tightened CRAFTY FLYNN in the early rush which in turn came together with KOSTYA BALE on the first bend. Of these dogs KOSTYA BALE made ground late for fourth with the others remaining midfield.
Race 6 CANTERBURY O.T.B ASSN DASH - C4 - 295 KNOW BETTER ran inwards soon after the jump coming into contact with WHISKY LEE GIRL who dropped to the rear. Soon after KNOW BETTER checked off the heels of SAMUAL BAXTER losing a length.
Race 7 FLAIR DISTANCE - C0d - 645 WHISKY BOY was checked into the first bend losing ground.
Race 8 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #17 FINAL - RESf - 520 This race started two minutes late due to the starter's radio losing power. KNOW GLORY ran outwards in the early stages of the race and remained wide and rearwards throughout.
Race 9 ROBBIE'S BAR & BISTRO SPRINT - C5 - 295 ROCKY POCKETS was tightened on to REMUS into the turn with HOMEBUSH BUZZ also being inconvenienced in this incident.
Race 10 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C4 - 295 VULCAN EARL and KARL BAXTER tangled soon after the jump. On the bend AMBER BEADLE crossed to the rail checking HOMEBUSH MATE and HOMEBUSH FITZY. VULCAN EARL checked outwards to avoid these dogs pushing KARL BAXTER and COCONUT ICE wider with these runners losing ground. KNOW GOOD (GA Cleeve) badly cut toe. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 3 June 2008.
