Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer AH LEE was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when FRATIANNO, a starter in Race 8 weighed in 1.8kgs above his last race start weight.
Trainer GJ HODSON was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when NICKER TIME, a starter in Race 6 weighed in 1.2kgs under her last race start weight.
Trainer Jonathon McInerney was spoken to regarding the late scratching of HOMEBUSH DUNCAN. He said that with his father away on holiday he had checked over today's racedogs yesterday afternoon and had not observed this injury to HOMEBUSH DUNCAN and given the club veterinarian's comments he had obviously missed the injury. The club veterinarian comfirmed the swelling was such that the injury would not have occurred today. McInerney was advised to ensure that their racedogs were thoroughly checked well prior to their race engagements. No further was to be taken.

Race 1	ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C1 - 295	Around the bend HERO HAND and CATCH A DIVA came together checking back on HANSOME HARRY, all three losing ground to fill the last three placings. CATCH A DIVA was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss.
Race 2	CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C1 - 520	WITH A RHYTHM tightened SOICHIRO into the first bend. Soon after MOUNT RILEY, CYBER QUEEN and SOICHIRO came together losing ground. CYBER QUEEN finished last with the other two midfield.
Race 3	THE INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C1 - 295	CAWBOURNE SAM and HOMEBUSH VEEJAY came together into the bend squeezing the favourite JANDERRA APACHE who had been slow to jump. They filled the last three placings. FINE ARTS (LJ Waretini) infected left hock. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 4 May 2008.
Race 4	PERRY FOUNDATION STAKES - C0 - 520	HUGO FIRST was slow to jump but recovered quickly to finish second. Into the bend ELY BRAND checked out off ARBUCKLE PARK before colliding with HOMEBUSH AGRO and LOFFHAGEN. Soon after HOMEBUSH RAH hit ELY BRAND. These four finished some distance behind the placegetters. SLIGHTLY FOXED (JR Guthrie) stood down at Otago on 24 April 2008 under Rule 81.1.
Race 5	BARRON'S SUPPLIES DASH - C2 - 295	The favourite CELTIC FLYER was slow to jump but improved quickly to trail the leader into the bend finishing third. KNOW CENTS (GA Cleeve) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with right gracilus bruising. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 14 days up to and including 12 May 2008.
Race 6	SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C1 - 295	HISTORICAL and DASH DOT DASH collided soon after the jump. MISS WICKLOW, HISTORICAL and HOMEBUSH HOUDINI came together into the bend coming back on DASH DOT DASH.
Race 7	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1 - 295	MCMANNUS was slow to jump. CHILE DAN and ONE SICK CHICK came together into the bend with ONE SICK CHICK drifted to finish last.
Race 8	SCHULTZ PANEL & PAINT STAKES - C1 - 520	JIMMY BLACKSMITH, FRATIANNO and THIS AND THAT collided into the first bend losing ground. JIMMY BLACKSMITH recovered to rail up down the back before taking the lead turning for home to win well. FRATIANNO drifted to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary examination revealed nothing amiss.
Race 9	COASTER'S TAVERN DASH - C0 - 295	GRANT A CHANCE, PANGO WILL HE and RAZOR BLADE came together into the bend with PANGO WILL HE coming back on MAJESTIC JAS and HAILSTONE HIKRY. All five were unplaced.
Race 10	KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C4 - 520	Around the first bend ASAFA BALE was badly checked when coming together with CADBURY HAND when racing behind the leader ACACIA CREEK. He drifted quickly to the rear never improving. He was subject to a post race veterinary examination which revealed bruising to the inside of the right thigh with a 10 day stand down recommended. ASAFA BALE (JT McInerney) bruising to inside of right thigh. Rule 82.1. 10 days up to and including 8 May 2008.
Race 11	TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C5 - 295	RAILS BOOKMAKER was slow to jump. Into the bend HOMEBUSH DARCY was checked coming back on CAWBOURNE MOLLY and RAILS BOOKMAKER. Soon after PRAISE BE tightened STOKER who lolst ground to finish well back. CAWBOURNE MOLLY was subject to a veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. MADAME JO JO (C Mitchell) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 25 May 2008.
Race 12	DENTRESE KENNELS PH 033125746 SPRINT - C3 - 295	BOY GENIUS and FREDERICK BAXTER came together into the bend coming back on HOMEBUSH ALIDA all losing ground to finish midfield. Just past the post HOMEBUSH ALIDA and THAT VIRUS came together and fell. They along with ALECIA RELTUB were subject to post race veterinary examinations which revealed nothing amiss with HOMEBUSH ALIDA and THAT VIRUS. ALECIA RELTUB was found to be lame in her right fore elbow and wrist with a 21 day stand down recommended. ALECIA RELTUB (JT McInerney) right fore lebow and wrist sprain. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 19 May 2008.
Race 13	CANTERBURY DRAUGHT MAIDEN FINAL - C0f - 520	MUNGO climbed on LIVELY SPIRIT'S hindquarters soon after the jump losing ground. They filled the last two placings.
Race 14	POWER FARMING LTD SPRINT - C5 - 295	Into the bend VULCAN EARL climbed on HOMEBUSH BUZZ and fell causing bads checks to the trailing RUDI JEWEL and KNOW GOOD. Soon after ROYAL FERN and HOMEBUSH BUZZ tangled for a few strides. A post race vet examination of VULCAN EARL, KNOW GOOD and RUDI JEWEL found nothing amiss. GO STRAIT THREW (JT McInerney) stood down at Otago on 24 April 2008. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 30 April 2008.
Race 15	PICK 6 LEG 1 - C1 - 520	Into the first bend TWO TICK JESSIE and NIKOS PORCHE tangled and dropped back to the midfield where they stayed.
Race 16	DAVID EMERSON CONSULTANCY SPRINT - C4 - 295	PAINT THE STARS was slow to jump and into the bend checked off the heels of GROOVY CARLA losing ground. Soon after PAINT THE STARS checked off the heels of HEZA LIL when attempting to improve on the final turn. GENISTA SPIRIT (JE Dunn) neck muscle injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 4 May 2008. HOMEBUSH DUNCAN (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with a right triceps tear. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 28 days up to and including 26 May 2008.
Race 17	CHRISTCHURCH GREYHOUNDS 60TH ANNIVERSARY STAKES - C5 - 520	Down the back straight COOL GROOVY was tightened by LAGOON PHOENIX when improving along the rail, sustaining a check. In the home straight she finished strongly for fourth.
Race 18	WWW.CANTERBURYPROPERTY.CO.NZ DASH - C5 - 295	HOMEBUSH FITZY and ROCKY POCKETS were slow away. Into the bend SPARKLING WAVES worked down toward the rail tightening DUWANNA HAND who went back on ROCKY POCKETS and SAMUAL BAXTER causing checks.
Race 19	BACK HERE THURSDAY STAKES - C3 - 520	Soon after the jump MR JAZZ was tightened and lost ground. Into the bend WINSOME GRACE ran out and cannoned into MR JAZZ both dogs losing ground. On the home turn KERNAHAN and MICRO DOTTIE tangled with both dogs losing ground. ARTERIAL BALE (AC Roberts) left hind fibula pain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 11 May 2008.
Race 20	SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C2 - 520	Soon after the start BETTYSUE BALE ran out and checked TRENDY GUY and LAGOON TALLIS, all three dogs dropping to the rear and filling the last three placings. PAYTON BALE (AC Roberts) was a late scratching at 8.15am with a right fore second toe infection. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 5 May 2008.
