Judicial report: Weather: Showery A.Duganzich the Trainer of ANDY D'GANDY was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight.
D Schofield the Trainer of FANCY ALEX was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms underweight.
M.McCook the Trainer of AFTERNOON DELITE was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.3 kilograms overweight.
A.Duganzich the Trainer of CAPP MANNERING was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms overweight.

Race 1 OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C0 - 375 CIARRAI was away well and led to the first corner but was checked soon after and dropped back causing a check to TAZZYS CHARM who finished in 2nd last place. CIARRAI finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 2 OROUA DOWNS TANNERY - C0 - 457 NOSH IN SOCKS was tightened and checked back to last soon after the start and stayed well back throughout. KINGDOM LAD began well enough but was unable to keep up and finished a long distance behind the other runners. KINGDOM LAD was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury. The Trainer was advised that there would need to be a big improvement at its next start or a satisfactory trial would be ordered. CALL ME ROCKY H.McCracken Rule 64 Suffering from bruising to shoulder muscles and stood down for 7 days to and including 03.05.08.
Race 3 PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C3 - 375 The favourite MR. SIMPLY began awkwardly and bumped together with BEAUTIFUL MOMENT soon after and settled at the rear. MR. SIMPLY never recovered and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 4 W&E CAVANAGH LTD - C1 - 457 Two of the better supported runners ANDY D'GANDY and FANCY ALEX were slow to begin but ANDY D'GANDY recovered to run on for 3rd place while FANCY ALEX raced wide throughout and finished in 6th place. CUPLA SCHILLINGS finished several lengths last and was examined by the Vet and found to have slight muscle wastage in front but no stand down was required.
Race 5 MCENTEE EVENT HIRE DASH - C4 - 375 HEALING CRYSTAL and PATTYS ANSWER were checked back to the rear on the first corner and stayed back to finish in the last two places.
Race 6 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES #16 FINAL - RESf - 457 One of the favourites THRILLING MOE was slow to begin and was never a chance of a placing after that and he finshed in 6th place.
Race 7 THRILLING KENNELS SPRINT - C5 - 375 THRILLING PIRATE was tightened against the rail in the run to the first corner and went back to last. THRILLING PIRATE then made a forward move but there was contact between him, FANCY CHARM and CENTRAL RAIDER and they all lost ground and finished in the last three places.
Race 8 GEON WELLINGTON - C2 - 375 BOUNCEN BLITZEN clipped the heels of THRILLING MELODY on the bend and fell. She was examined by the Vet and found to have suffered from some minor abrasions but no stand down was required. EQUITY ECHO Freeman & Turnwald Rule 82 Suffered lacerations to a paw and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.08.
Race 9 RADIO TRACKSIDE 828AM MANAWATU - C1 - 375 THRILLING TURN was very slow to begin losing several lengths and he then ran wide over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 10 COMPANY BRANDING SHOP, LEVIN - C1 - 457 All clear.
Race 11 PCS COMPUTERS LTD - C1 - 375 One of the favourites THRILLING ELROY was away well and handy on the bend until clipping the heels of YES MISS and he lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. YES MISS appeared lame following the race, was examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days with pectineus and tricep muscle injuries. THOMAS THE TANK G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 64 Suffering from dermatitis on a hind paw and stood down for 5 days to and including 28.04.08. THRILLING BLAKE K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from sesamoid pain and stood down for 7 days to and including 03.05.08. SAMS RENEGADE M.Lozell Rule 64 Suffering from a flexor tendon injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 02.05.08. YES MISS B.Hunt Rule 82 Galloped on and suffered pectineus and tricep muscle injuries and stood down for 10 days to and including 07.05.08.
Race 12 WIZARD HOME LOANS - C2/3 - 457 NORTH INGILLTAB was slow to begin and raced well back throughout to finish in 3rd last place. HOMEBUSH ELVY was checked back to last in the race to the first corner and stayed there to the finish. THRILLING JED K.Walsh Rule 64 Suffering from a metatarsal injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 06.05.08.
