Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer DD Schofield was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when CAWBOURNE KERRY weighed in at 28.6 kgs which was 1.1 kgs under its last race weight on 13 April 2008.
Trainer AR Bowen received a warning under Rule 88.1.f after using improper language to a swabbing steward.

Race 1	PAT'S GARAGE MAIDEN - C0 - 318	STANS THE MAN lost a couple of lengths into the bend when crossing and coming briefly into contact with the leader THANK YOU SEAS. HOMEBUSH WHAT and THUNDER FOOT came together on the bend and lost ground. THUNDER FOOT dropped away to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 2	CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - C1 - 318	THRILLING SMILE crossed quickly from its outside draw tightening EYES A TITLE . Soon after EYES A TITLE came outwards and came together with THRILLING SMILE who drifted soon after. THRILLING SLATE was held up for room to improve until late in the race.
Race 3	INTERISLANDER STAKES - C1 - 527	CAWBOURNE DI ran outwards into the first bend forcing TAKE THE MICKY out on to CLOSE COMBAT. TAKE THE MICKY nearly fell in this incident and dropped away to last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. POSITIVE GOLD was checked and lost some ground as JACK BOWER crossed to the rail to lead as the field entered the back straight.
Race 4	GREYHOUNDS AS PETS SPRINT - C2 - 318	BRIEF RESULT and PRETTY FUNNY came together into the bend with CLASSIC BEN receiving a slight check in between them. Simultaneously the favourite COWBOY JAKE charged up in behind PRETTY FUNNY and was stopped in his tracks with THERMOSTATIC also finding trouble. COWBOY JAKE finished seventh with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury.
Race 5	$40,000 PICK 6 - C1 - 318	TOP DEAL and WAIKIKA PIRATE came together in tight quarters into the bend with CONTAGEN and BLUSH BALE being forced wide around the bend losing ground. These dogs filled the last four placings.
Race 6	COMMERCIAL PLUMBING STAKES - C2/3 - 527	TIGGER FOOT checked outwards into the first bend with FANCY BEAR and KADDLEY both losing a lot of ground attempting to avoid this runner. A post race veterinary check of TIGGER FOOT revealed a semitendonosis muscle injury with a seven day stand down recommended. Into the back straight CATCHWORD appeared to falter and drifted out to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn right gracilis with a thirty day stand down recommended. Shortly after HE'S A KIWI received a check a lost a few lengths as ASHBOURNE FALCON came off the rails to make his run. TIGGER FOOT (JP Foot) left semitendonosis muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 3 May 2008. CATCHWORD (NP Green) torn right gracilis. Rule 82.1. 30 days up to and including 26 May 2008.
Race 7	THORNTON AUCTIONS SPRINT - C4/5 - 318	CANYA SEE ME and BIG PA came together into the bend losing some momentum. BOSS LOU fell at the lure with a post race veterinary check revealing a broken hock and the dog was euthanased on humane grounds. NEW CLEAR POWER (K Braithwaite) starter in Race 8 BOSS LOU (RP O'Regan) broken hock. Euthenased.
Race 8	TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT FINAL - C5f - 318	END ZONE was slow to jump settling at the rear. On the bend END ZONE and CAWBOURNE CATHY came together when well back in the field. DIDYA SEE ME (P&L Henley) sprained hock. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 3 May 2008.
Race 9	NZ COMMUNITY TRUST STAKES - C4/5 - 527	MAJOR CONQUEST, ANOTHER PRIDE and ANCIENT RHYTHM all were tightened into the first bend settling well back.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PACK - C3 - 318	All clear. WAKATIPU FLYER (GR Farrell) left fore digit spike wound in web. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 29 April 2008. NUTTY SQUIRREL (A Cleaver) was a late scratching at kennelling with a sprain of the right fore accessory bone. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 6 May 2008.
