Judicial report: Weather: Fine but cool Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 on each of two charges when ANGELITO and LEUMEAH MISS, starters in Race 9, weighed in 1.1kgs and 1.2kgs respectively above their last race start weights.

Race 1 PAWS INN BOARDING KENNEL STAKES - C0 - 545 MICRON JAY JAY and AWESOME FLASH were slow to jump. Into the first bend SLIGHTLY FOXED ran outwards forcing DIAMOND MILL wide, before drifting out to finish a long last. SLIGHTLY FOXED was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. SLIGHTLY FOXED'S performance was deemed unsatisfactory with a Satisfactory Trial ordered under Rule 81.1. SLIGHTLY FOXED (JR Guthrie) ordered to undertake at Satisfactory Trial. Rule 81.1.
Race 2 BRIAN BAGLEY DRIVER LICENSING STAKES - C4/5 - 545 Into the back straight the favourite WINSOME ASHLEY faultered losing ground and checking SALLY BAXTER. A post race veterinary check revealed tightness over the back muscles. She was re examined after Race 8 with soreness over the lumbar muscles. A 7 day stand down was ordered. A review of the race film revealed a seagull to have been sitting on the track which has flown upwards as the dogs approached causing WINSOME ASHLEY to check stride. WINSOME ASHLEY (J&D Fahey) sore lumbar muscles. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 30 April 2008.
Race 3 COMPUTER TROUBLESHOOTERS DASH - C5 - 310 GRANT A FORTUNE ran out after the jump checking VULCAN EARL. Around the bend RAILS BOOKMAKER ducked underneath GRANT A FORTUNE checking WHISKY LEE GIRL and KNOW BETTER who both lost ground to finish at the rear.
Race 4 SPEEDPRINT SPRINT - C5 - 310 BOTANY ROY came up with the lids. Into the bend KNOW GOOD and STRATUS BEKELEE collided losing ground. Soon after GO STRAIT THREW drifted out to finish a long last. At veterinary examination he was found to be sore over his tricep muscles with a 7 day stand down recommended. GO STRAIT THREW (JT McInerney) tricep soreness. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 30 April 2008.
Race 5 BROCKLEBANK DRYCLEANERS STAKES - C1/2 - 545 All clear. TRENDY OPAWA (MJ Flipp) stood down at Christchurch GRC on 22 April 2008. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 4 May 2008.
Race 6 NEW ZEALAND BRED STAKES #1 - C1 - 545 SMART SHARMILLA ran out after the jump colliding heavily with WILLY FLIRT and BYE BYE HELEN. Into the first bend JALISCO and JIMMY BLACKSMITH came together with WILLY FLIRT running wide to avoid them. At the end of the back straight SMART SHARMILA clipped KAIWERA SARAH'S hindquarters when vying for the lead both losing momentum. SMART SMARMILA ran on for second with KAIWERA SARAH well back. WILL SHE ECHO (J&D Fahey) low grade shin soreness in left hind leg. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 27 April 2008. JIN JU (JR Goode) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty. WHATA HOON (MJ Flipp) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
Race 7 NEW ZEALAND BRED STAKES #2 - C1 - 545 BIBI DAHL was tightened soon after the jump losing all chance finishing near the rear.
Race 8 KEYOSK SERVICE BAR STAKES - C3 - 545 From the jump COLDHARBOR pushed outwards and forced KNOW GLORY wide on the turn. Into the back straight JOELSON was checked off the rear of SMART THOMAS and lost ground to finish at the rear. FIERY FALCON (MM Grant) diarrhea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 3 days up to and including 26 April 2008.
Race 9 www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz - C4 - 310 HOMEBUSH AUSSIE and HOMEBUSH DUNCAN came together into the bend losing ground. NOT A WHATA (MJ Flipp) sore in left hip. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 1 May 2008. NICCA NOTCH (MJ Flipp) sore in left shoulder. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 1 May 2008.
Race 10 ANZAC SPRINT - C3 - 310 THAT VIRUS, BEAUTIFUL MOMENT and GOOD GRACIOUS ME were tightened into the bend. Approaching the home straight ADIO ROUTINE has ran outwards and marred CHARLI'S ECHO with a resultant check to FREDERICK BAXTER. ADIO ROUTINE was subject to a veterinary certificate which revealed a sprained toe to the right fore with a 10 day stand down recommended. ADIO ROUTINE was stood down for 28 days under Rule 80.1.a. and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial. UPBEAT (MJ Flipp) sore in right thigh. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 1 May 2008. ADIO ROUTINE (GA Cleeve) Rule 80.1.a. Stood down for 28 days up to and including 20 May 2008 and ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial.
