Race 1	ALLIED WORK FORCE - C4/5 - 305	One of the favourites AGENT VICKI was handy enough to the first corner but was checked and went back to near the rear and finished in 2nd last place. POLSKA Gained a start in race 6.
Race 2	WANGANUI DISTANCE - C2dq - 755 Heat 1	HOMEBUSH FALCON jumped on terms with the other runners but dropped out soon after and was not striding out correctly and finished a long last. HOMEBUSH FALCON was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a quadricep muscle injury. SHEA SHERIE began to fade on the final bend and pulled up prior to the winning post. She was also examined by the Vet and stood down for 10 days due to suffering from severe cramp. ELARA was tightened between runners on the first corner and lost several lengths and could not make up the lost ground. SHEA SHERIE G.Lawrence Rule 82 Suffered from severe cramp and stood down for 10 days to and including 27.04.08. HOMEBUSH FALCON Freeman & Turnwald Rule 82 Suffered a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 01.05.08.
Race 3	KEENAN CONCRETE 6 PACK - C2/3 - 520	All clear.
Race 4	WANGANUI DISTANCE - C2dq - 755 Heat 1	The favourite GROOVY FINANCE eased off the heels of another runner on the first bend and was then pushed wide into the straight with over a circuit to run. GROOVY FINANCE recovered from those incidents to go on and win the race.
Race 5	GUTHRIE BOWRON - C4 - 520	KYLE'S STORM was last to the first corner and raced very awkwardly on the bend and dropped back to be several lengths last for most of the remainder of the race. KYLE'S STORM was examined by the Vet and found to have mild abrasions on both hind legs but no stand down was required.
Race 6	www.wanganuicarcentre.com - C5f - 305	TIGGERLONG FURY moved in racing to the first corner and jostled FANCY LINE and STAR CONQUEST and both were checked back to the rear. STAR CONQUEST recovered to finish 4th but FANCY LINE finished in last place. BLACK SAL H.McCracken Rule 64 Suffering from a quadricep muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 01.05.08.
Race 7	WANGANUI DISTANCE - C2dq - 755 Heat 1	TIZZY LEE BUCKET was slow away and then ran very wide on the first corner but made up ground well to finish in 2nd place. IN THE MOB was checked and galloped on with just under a circuit to run and dropped out to finish several lengths last. IN THE MOB was examined by the Vet and cleared of injury.
Race 8	MICKEYS SUPER LIQUOR - C4/5 - 520	All clear.
Race 9	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C4 - 305	BIGTIME SID went up with box lids and lost ground and then collided with WEONA PIRATE on the bend and they finished in the last two places.
Race 10	DIMOCKS RETRAVISION - C5 - 305	HILLYS TIP was a little slow away and then checked off the heels of another runner on the first corner and ran wide on the bend forcing BOTANY ROY wide and they finished well back.
