Race 2 | CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C0 - 520 | Into the first bend HOMEBUSH RAH ran out and tightened AWESOME FLASH and ANYTIME SOON all three suffering checks and losing ground. Into the home straight MAJOR BLUE and SCARLETT EMPRESS tangled and forced ANYTIME SOON wide on the track. HOMEBUSH RAH was subject to a post race veterinary check but nothing was amiss. |

As a result of this incident TURBO TALIA, racing on the rail, was checked and dropped to the rear. Soon after TO CASUAL and TWISTER SISTER came together with TO CASUAL badly checked. TURBO TALIA was subject to veterinary inspection which revealed a left hock flexor tendon rupture with a 28 day stand down recommended. TO CASUAL was also subject to veterinary inspection with a 21 day stand down for a left triceps tear. TURBO TALIA (GA Cleeve) left hock flexor tendon rupture. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 11 May 2008. TO CASUAL (GA Cleeve) left triceps tear. Rule 82.1. 21 days up to and including 4 May 2008. |
Race 5 | TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C1 - 295 | Into the bend ELLE VOLI ran off the rail and collided with BLACK INN BRAVE. ELLE VOLI continued her outward momentum and hit HAILSTONE ANGEL with resultant checks to HISTORY NEVER and HOMEBUSH BURT who were forced wide on the track and lost considerable ground. In the same incident WILLY ECHO who was improving around the field was inconvenienced and dropped back a length before running home for third. |
Race 6 | EXCELSIOR SPORTS BAR & TAB STAKES - C1 - 520 | HANSOME HARRY was slow to leave the boxes, settled last and stayed there, finishing 8th. |
Race 7 | SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C4 - 295 | PAINT THE STARS was very slow to leave the boxes but finished powerfully from second last on the turn to grab third. Into the bend HOMEBUSH BUBBLES crashed down onto the favourite VULCAN EARL who was checked back to fifth. GENISTA ASSASSIN (JE Dunn) left triceps tear. Race 11 | POWER FARMING LTD SPRINT - C5 - 295 | Into the bend KNOW SAY checked off the heels of the rapidly improving RUDI JEWEL and collided with KNOW SAY who lost ground. Into the home straight HOMEBUSH AUSSIE moved out as KNOW SAY moved in and squeezed out FOUL PLAY who was racing between them. |
Race 12 | BARRON'S SUPPLIES STAKES - C1 - 520 | Racing to the first bend FAST GROOVY ran off the rail at the same time as SOUTHERN MAN angled across from a wide draw with the result that WHO'S SHIFTY and SMART SHARMILA, racing between them, were checked. Race 14 | BACK THURSDAY NIGHT SPRINT - C5 - 295 | ANGELITO was slow to jump. The field got very tight racing to the bend resulting in checks to MISSING BEEN, KNOW BETTER, ROSIE RETURN and PRAISE BE. Across the top ROCKY POCKETS railed through powerfully pushing the leader STRATUS BEKELEE into the path of ANOTHER LAUREL both dogs sustaining checks. |
