He recovered to run fourth with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. HOMEBUSH BREE, DELLACQUA and EQUITY ECHO were all tightened as CLASSIC BEN crossed them from the outside with the inside dogs losing ground. |
Race 4 | JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C2/3 - 318 | Favourite CAWBOURNE KERRY was shunted up against the rail in the early rush but recovered quickly to challenge for the lead on the turn and win well. The dog was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed no injury. |
Race 5 | GREYHOUNDS NORTH DISTANCE SERIES HEAT - C0dq - 603 Heat 1 | A combination of KING JOKER crossing from a wide draw and THRILLING JED pushing up through the middle meant that KILLER TOUCH ran out of room and was checked back to last in the early running. KING JOKER remained well back with KILLER TOUCH finishing midfield. ROYAL SQUADRON (RP O'Regan) right hip support injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 21 April 2008. |
Race 6 | TERRY RYAN TIMBER SPRINT FEATURE - C2 - 318 | SERGEANT SCREAM was tightened into the bend losing a couple of lengths. The favourite PRETTY FUNNY was wide into the bend and lost a couple of lengths on that bend. He ran on well for third. |
Race 7 | PAT'S GARAGE STAKES - C1 - 527 | KIND GESTURE and THRILLING EVO were both very slow to jump settling rearwards. Into the first bend KIND GESTURE checked off the heels of THRILLING HELEN and ran wide losing ground. THRILLING HELEN was subject to a post race veterinary check that revealed a superficial gluteal muscle injury with a five day stand down recommended. CLOSE COMBAT (SL Ross) starter in Race 5. THRILLING HELEN (MP Mann) superficial gluteal muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 5 days up to and including 17 April 2008. |

Race 10 | THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL 6 PACK - C4 - 318 | RIALTO GUN was the slowest to jump. Into the bend FORWARD SOLUTION tightened WAKATIPU FLYER who ran outwards checking RIALTO GUN. These dogs were the last three home. |
