Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer JR Guthrie was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.1 when MUNGO, a starter in Race 8, weighed in 1.2kgs under his last race start weight.

Race 1	ADVANCE PERFORMANCE DASH - C1/2 - 295	Into the bend KNOW WHAT was tightened by ALECIA RELTUB when vying for the lead, coming back on LIMITED IMPACT. They finished a close up fourth and fifth. HAMBURGER (JT McInerney) scratched at Wanganui on 4 April 2008. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 10 April 2008.
Race 2	CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP STAKES - C1 - 520	Around the first bend DON THE HOP improved inside DIAMOND ELITE who was bumped outwards into BIBI DAHL who was forced wide on the track. Into the back straight CLAN DESPERADO and BIBI DAHL collided both losing ground to fill the last two placings. GEMMA'S COUNTRY (GJ Hodson) starter in Race 16.
Race 3	THE INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C1 - 295	MULBERRY SNOOP ran inwards after the jump and collided with CATCH A DIVA and HE'S SO FINE all losing ground. Into the bend COREYS COMET was buffeted between dogs losing ground before being struck by HE'S SO FINE into the home straight. He finished at the rear with CATCH A DIVA and MULBERRY SNOOP.
Race 4	WWW.CANTERBURYPROPERTY.CO.NZ STAKES - C1 - 520	DANCING JAZZY ran outwards into the first bend checking LAGOON MONROE, MOUNT RILEY and CLAN SAVIOUR who lost all chance to fil the last three placings.
Race 5	SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C1 - 295	HALSTROM BALE and AGENT BOND were slow to jump from the outside boxes. Into the bend HEAR THE CHEERS and MR BARRINGTON were checked as a result of tightening. Soon after KNOW CENTS struck the hindquarters of CAWBORNE SAM who was vying for the lead. He lost momentum. HEAR THE CHEERS when trying to recovered cliped MR BARRINGTON before cannoning outwards into AGENT BOND. These three finished at the rear. HALSTROM BALE who was slow to jump circled the field free of interference to take the lead turning for home to win easily.
Race 6	DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C1/2 - 295	TO CASUAL was slow to jump. Across the top AWESOME DEEJAY was checked when TO CASUAL improved quickly on the inside with the result that CHILE TIME was carried wide on the track. AWESOME DEEJAY and CHILE TIME didn't recover and finished at the tail of the field. SWIFT TOKEN (JT McInerney) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with right distal fibula swelling. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 68.26. 10 days up to and including 17 April 2008.
Race 7	KOLORFUL KANVAS STAKES - C1 - 520	Soon after the jump SOUTHERN MAN, MOA HUNTER, SOICHERO and WHO' SHIFTY came together. Into the first bend WOOD PIGEON lost ground when checking off THRILLING QUIZ. Soon after WHO'S SHIFTY and SOICHERO came together and badly checked WOOD PIGEON who was turned sideways and nearly fell, settling at the rear of the field. WOOD PIGEON was examined by the veterinarian but nothing was found amiss.
Race 8	WWW.CHRISTCHURCHGREYHOUNDS.CO.NZ DASH - C0 - 295	TIME TO RUN turned in the boxes and took no part in the race. HOT SPICEY BOY, HAILSTONE HIKRY and MUNGO came together soon after the jump with HAILSTONE HIKRY and HOT SPICEY BOY losing ground. Into the bend POLAR BLAST and PANGO WILL HE came together with PANGO WILL HE continuing his outward movement to race wide on the track. TIME TO RUN was ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial. TIME TO RUN (MM Grant) to undertake a Satisfactory trial in accordance with Rule 72.13.
Race 9	BARRON'S SUPPLIES SPRINT - C0 - 295	CAWBOURNE GEORGA was tightened soon after the jump. WICKED WAYS and HOMEBUSH ERNIE came together into the bend losing ground and forcing FACE OFF wide. These dogs filled the last four placings.
Race 10	GEORGE CALVERT CLEANING STAKES - C0 - 520	All clear. HATIPOV (JR Goode) left hind lateral sesamoiditis. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 April 2008.
Race 11	TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C1 - 295	BYE BYE HELEN, FRATIANNO and THEMELO were checked as a result of tightening into the bend. They lost all chance.
Race 12	ROBBIE'S BAR AND BISTRO SPRINT - C1 - 295	CLAN McINERNEY faultered soon after the start to finish a distant last. A post race veterinary check revealed a torn right gracilus insertion with a 28 day stand down recommended.. Around the bend HOMEBUSH JOCK and KAIWERA SARAH jostled losing ground to finish at the rear. CLAN McINERNEY (HG Cairns) torn right gracilus insertion. Rule 82.1. 28 days up to and including 4 May 2008.
Race 13	CANTERBURY O.T.B. ASSOCIATION STAKES - C0 - 520	Into the first bend HUGO FIRST collided with BREENYS BOY who in turn hit LIVELY SPIRIT. Soon after LE FLYING NUN ran out and hit NEED A NURSE both running wide on the track. Around the bend MICRON JAY JAY improving along the rail struck BREENYS BOY heavily who was turned sideways towards the outside of the track and falling. He regained his feet to finish the race with a post race veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. HAILSTONE HENRY (JT McInerney) left hind fibula stree injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 April 2008. ARBUCKLE PARK (MP Stewart) starter in Race 10.
Race 14	WWW.WILLYWHATATSTUD.COM DASH - C1 - 295	WILLY ECHO was slow to leave the boxes and when trying to improve into the first bend ran into a dead end and was checked. Into the bend SAINT DANIEL improved across from an outside draw and checked REPEAT FELON who was checked and came back on THRILLING EADIE and HOMEBUSH VALERIE, these dogs never recovered and filled the last three placings. BOTOX BARBIE (MJ Flipp) left hock strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 12 days up to and including 18 April 2008.
Race 15	PICK SIX LEG 1 - C2 - 520	Into the first bend FROSTY EQUATOR checked out off REPEAT OFFENDER coming in contact with RIVIERA CHIC before being hit heavily by MACK'S BOUNTY. REPEAT OFFENDER drifted out around the top bend and was hit by an improving MACK'S BOUNTY, drifting out to finish last. A post race veterinary check on REPEAT OFFENDER revealed nothing amiss.
Race 16	SBS BANKING NEW ZEALAND OAKS HEAT 1 - R/A - 520	STARLIGHT JEWEL drifted to the rear soon after the start. Into the first bend PORCELAIN GIRL tightened WINSOME ASHLEY, SHE'S TOO COOL, PINK RELTUB and CYBER BLUE as she drove to the lead. NURSE NANCY (M&J Hill) left shoulder soreness. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 16 April 2008. FLOJO FLYER (AC Roberts) left hip support injury. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 3 May 2008. JALISCO (RD Blackburn) was a late scratching at kennelling when found with an elevated temperature. Rule 68.26. 7 days up to and including 14 April 2008.
Race 17	SBS BANKING NEW ZEALAND OAKS HEAT 2 - R/A - 520	SIMPLY BLESSED was tightened by DREAM TRIP just after the winning post, falling as a result. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 18	WILSON'S SPORTS BAR SPRINT - C3 - 295	OLD DANS MATE and THAT VIRUS came together into the bend losing ground and forcing GROOVY CARLA and CLAN MISTY wide. WHISKY'S LAD (JT McInerney) scratched at Wanganui on 4 April 2008. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 8 April 2008.
Race 19	TRACKSIDE DINING 17 APRIL PH 338-6145 STAKES - C3/4 - 520	SANDAVE was tightened into the first bend settling well back and never improving. BAXTER'S GENERAL who was handy drifted out over the concluding stages to finish sixth.
Race 20	SPEIGHTS SIX PACK DISTANCE - C0d - 645	All clear. LAGOON LAD (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 11 April 2008. SPACE HOPPER (JT McInerney) diarrhoea. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 11 April 2008. PARANOVA (JF Allen) withdrawn under Rule 63.10. No penalty.
