Judicial report: Weather: overcast light showers Race six was held up for a minute at the request of the club as it was noticed that the lure driver was not in position.
The lure driver Mr D Richards was questioned by the stewards in to this matter and it was found that he had left the lure at the wrong point for the following race and had gone out on to the track to move the lure manually without advising anybody.
A charge was laid under rule 88.1-O in respect that Mr Richards was negligant in not being at the lure drivers position when required and readily admitted the charge and a fine of $200.00 was imposed.

Race 1	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C0 - 457	Racing down to the first turn DRIVING FORWARD had to check back off the heels of THRILLING ELROY and lost ground . ANDY D'GANDY was slow away from the boxes by several lengths, then crossed to the rail and got a charmed run through to run away for an impressive win. NOSH IN SOCKS was a scratching due to a muscle injury. NOSH IN SOCKS I G Cox injury to right trapezius muscle dog presented veterinary certificate supplied 7 days stand down to and including 6.04.08.
Race 2	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C0 - 375	THRILLING TURN went up with the lids as the field left the boxes and GOOD CATCH was also slow away . GOOD CATCH raced wide around the top bend and in to the home straight covering a lot of extra ground in the running.----------.
Race 3	RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C3 - 375	Racing down to the first turn SUZIE THE FLUZY and THRILLING BURN had a bit of a bumping duel for some distance ,as the field tightened up in to the first turn these two dogs came together again resulting in THRILLING BURN being checked back to the rear ,he went out wide to get back in to the race and ran on well for 3rd placing.----------.
Race 4	GEON WELLINGTON - C2 - 375	Soon after the start THRILLING BETH and CAWBOURNE WELLSY came together for several strides Racing in to the first turn CAWBOURNE WELLSY ran out of room and got up on the back of EVAMORE and this caused CAWBOURNE WELLSY to run outwards underneath the neck of THRILLING BREE and TUSSY causing these dogs to be checked ,with TUSSY being forced to go wide around the top bend and losing all chance thereafter.----------. .
Race 5	DAILY GREYS TIPLINE 0900-42477 - C5 - 375	BLUE CHIP VIRUS was prominent early in the race then was observed to lose ground going around the top turn and finished in last position at the post. BLUE CHIP VIRUS was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found no stand down required.----------.
Race 6	PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C1 - 457	After 50 metres GO GROOVY came out to get clear running and in doing so cut under the neck of ALISHA'S TIGER causing this dog to fall. ALISHA'S TIGER recovered to her feet and finished some distance behind the rest of the field. A subsequant veterinary examination to ALISHA'S TIGER found that she had shoulder and back pain and has been stood down for 10 days. The start of this race was held up for almost 2 minutes at the clubs request to give the lure driver time to get into position ,as he was not there at the required time.----------. ALISHA'S TIGER B R D Cole shoulder and back pain rule 82.1. 10 days stand down to and including 9.04.08.
Race 7	COMPANY BRANDING SHOP, LEVIN - C1 - 375	JAYDEEMOORE (fav) was slow away from the boxes by a couple of lengths and tried to make ground up around the outside ,but could not get near the front runners and finished towards the rear at the post. Racing down to the first turn JILL and STARLIGHT WOODS came together causing JILL to lose balance for a couple of strides, then JILL was hampered by SHY ANNE ROSE coming through on her inside and caused her to clip the back of this dog resulting in her losing more ground . JILL finished in last position at the post. .
Race 8	MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - C5 - 375	THRILLING NEWTON and THRILLING PIRATE came together as they left the boxes resulting in THRILLING PIRATE almost knuckling over. HARKA LEE was a scratching due to a webbing injury. HARKA LEE P Freeman & A Turnwald injury to webbing between p 3&4 on right hind dog presented veterinary certificate supplied rule 64.12. 7 days stand down to and including 5.04.08.
Race 9	THE TRUSTS CHARITABLE FOUNDATION CHALLENGE STAKES - C5 - 457	JIMMY HALL was slow away and this caused him to lose ground at this point that he could not make up through out the race and he finished towards the rear. Racing down to the first turn BLACK TIE cut down to the rail and caused tightning to MARTY HALL and FANCY CHARM who came together for a few strides. EXCITING STATE was a scratching due to muscle soreness. . EXCITING STATE L J Ahern muscle soreness rule 64.12. 5 days stand down to and including 31.03.08. veterinary certificate to be supplied ,papers to be presented for endorsement.
Race 10	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 375	As the field left the boxes PISTOL LARRY and FLIRTATIUOS WINK came together for a couple of strides As the field were making their way towards the home straight OPEN FOR OFFERS changed ground and FLIRTATIOUS WINK ran in to the side of him and lost her balance and fell, she recovered her feet to finish some distance behind the field ,as did OPEN FOR OFFERS who lost all momentum in this incident.. FLIRTATIOUS WINK was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found no stand down required. THRILLING COLT was a scratching due to a torn dew claw.-- LITTLE INTENT was a late scratching at kenneling on veterinary advice due to gracilus muscle injury.--------. THRILLING COLT K Walsh torn left dew claw veterinary certificate supplied rule 64.12. 5 days stand down to and including 3.04.08. papers to be presented for endorsment. LITTLE INTENT I D Moore injury to both gracilus muscles dog presented veterinary certificate supplied late scratching rule 68.26.10 days stand down to and including 9.04.08.
Race 11	HAMIL BUILDERS - C4 - 375	There was no head on coverage of this race due to trackside having other commitments As the field made their way down to the first turn HOMEBUSH FALCON had to check back off the heels of WEONA PIRATE as that dog crossed to the rail.
Race 12	OROUA DOWNS TANNERY - C2 - 457	All clear. THUNDER L'AMORE was a scratching ex Waikato 27.03.08. BIGTIME PAUL was a scratching ex Wanganui 28.03.08. THUNDER L'AMORE ex Waikato 27.03.08. BIGTIME PAUL ex Wanganui 28.03.08.
