Judicial report: Weather: Cloudy Trainers A Hart and K Taylor were fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when NITRO MARTA weighed in 1.5kgs above her last race weight on 13 March 2008.
Trainer RD Blackburn was warned after a greyhound escaped from her trailer at kennelling.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C5 - 295 ROCKY POCKETS jumped inwards and came into contact with NITRO MARTA who drifted to the rear soon after settling last. She passed a couple in the run home. BOTANY ROY was held up for room across the top running on well when clear for fourth placing.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL-UP DASH - C1 - 295 ELLE VOLI ran outwards after fifty metres checking DASH DOT DASH, BIG DAPTO and WILLY FLIRT who all lost ground and their chances.
Race 3 DENTRESE KENNELS PH 033125746 DASH - C1 - 295 Favourite BIONIC DREAM was tightened and ran to the outside after the jump losing ground. He ran on late for fifth. BONDI BRINDI and BY GORRIE DORRIE came together into the bend and lost ground.
Race 4 CELTIC ARMS TAVERN STAKES - C1 - 520 WOOD PIGEON was last to jump and was pushed wide around the first bend losing ground. He did well for third. AVANZATA and BIBI DAHL were also shunted wide around that first bend.
Race 5 SUPERPETS SPRINT - C2 - 295 SWIFT TOKEN was tightened into the bend and lost ground.
Race 6 www.christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz STAKES - C0 - 520 CLAN MCDEE checked off TOYA into the first bend and lost ground. This in turn resulted in MAJESTIC JAS ducking outwards impeding MICRON JAY JAY and ARBUCKLE PARK with these dogs losing their chances. Just before reaching the lure TOYA fell. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 7 THE INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C1 - 295 ANOTHER PICNIC and COREYS COMET came together into the bend and lost ground. On the home bend an improving CHILE MAID brushed ANOTHER PICNIC for a stride.
Race 8 SOUTHERN TRUST STAKES - C3 - 520 COLDHARBOR checked outwards into the first bend coming into contact with FREDDIE SAGE with that dog losing some ground. PYRAMID EYES dropped out on the first bend and finished a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a carpal strain with a fourteen day stand down recommended. ARTERIAL BALE checked off SANDAVE into the back straight and lost momentum. On the home turn ARTERIAL BALE and SMART THOMAS came together when well back in the field. PYRAMID EYES (Hart/Taylor) left carpal strain. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 7 April 2008.
Race 9 SBS BANKING SPRINT - C1 - 295 CLAN MARY LOU ran inwards soon after the jump checking HOMEBUSH HOUDINI with these dogs settling well back. WILLY ECHO ran outwards on the bend taking KAIWERA SARAH and SAINT DANIEL over extra ground. SAINT DANIEL then ran inwards when recovering checking KAIWERA SARAH in the process.
Race 10 CANTERBURY O.T.B ASSN DASH - C0 - 295 CELTIC FLYER crossed from a wide draw on the bend severely checking HOMEBUSH ERNIE who lost ground. CLAN SLITHER also lost its chance in this incident and appeared to brush the running rail. A post race veterinary check of CLAN SLITHER revealed no injury. HOMEBUSH STEPH got down in the boxes and was very slow to jump losing her chance. Following the race this dog was ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1. FROSTY BLONDE (JF Allen) in season. Rule 64.10. 28 days up to and including 20 April 2008. HOMEBUSH STEPH (JT McInerney) required to undertake a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C5 - 295 RICK BAXTER was tightened into the bend and lost ground.
Race 12 ADDINGTON FUNCTION CENTRE DASH - C0 - 295 TIME TO RUN was last to jump and remained last throughout. HISTORICAL ran outwards into the bend taking HISTORIUM and HOT SPICEY BOY wider with these dogs losing ground.
Race 13 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C0 - 520 GUNNA SMOKE and HATIPOV were both checked and fell on the first bend. Both of these dogs completed the journey with post race veterinary checks revealing no injury. The winner LAURA BRAND was observed to turn her head on three occasions in the home straight. As a post race veterinary check failed to reveal any injury this dog was stood down under Rule 80.1.b. for failing to pursue the lure and ordered to undertake a satisfactory trial. LAURA BRAND (JA McMillan) stood down under Rule 80.1.b. for 28 days up to and including 21 April 2008 and required to undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 14 SHIRLEY VETERINARY CENTRE SPRINT - C1 - 295 REPEAT FELON, BYE BYE HELEN and CLAN MCINERNEY all came together soon after the jump and settled well back. Shortly after HANSOME HARRY ran inwards and came into contact with LAGOON MONROE and BREENY'S GIRL who was attempting to run out from the inside. These dogs all finished out of the money.
Race 15 PICK 6 FIRST LEG - C4 - 520 ROMAN CASTLE was checked into the first bend and lost ground. BAXTER'S GENERAL and ROMAN CASTLE came together on the home turn when well back.
Race 16 BARRON'S SUPPLIES SPRINT - C3 - 295 This race was delayed by one minute due to the prior harness race starting late. There were no incidents in the running.
Race 17 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C1 - 520 The favourite JACKALICIOUS was dragged down at the first bend by MOUNT RILEY and again shortly after by JIMMY BLACKSMITH losing his chance. JIMMY BLACKSMITH recovered well for fifth. RUBIX BALE was squeezed back to last with a lap to go and never recovered dropping away for a long last. Post race veterinary checks revealed right shoulder pain with a seven day stand down for JACKALICIOUS and no injury to RUBIX BALE. As a result RUBIX BALE was stood down under Rule 80.1.b. for failing to pursue the lure and must undertake a satisfactory trial. JACKALICIOUS (J&D Fahey) right shoulder pain. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 31 March 2008. RUBIX BALE (JM Jopson) stood down under Rule 80.1.b. for 28 days up to and including 21 April 2008 and required to undertake a satisfactory trial.
Race 18 www.canterburyproperty.co.nz DASH - C5 - 295 All clear.
Race 19 BACK HERE THURSDAY NIGHT STAKES - C1 - 520 KNOW GLORY ran out from the inside into the first bend and pushed MACK'S BOUNTY wider around that bend. BE POSITIVE was tightened into the first bend and ran wide with KNOW GLORY pushing it even wider. BE POSITIVE settled a long way back but made up a stack of ground for fourth. SMART SHARMILA (RD Blackburn) off colour with blood tests to be undertaken. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 29 March 2008.
Race 20 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C2 - 520 JACKPOT JACK was tightened into the first bend and lost ground settling well back.
