Judicial report: Weather: Fine An investigation was opened by the stewards under the provisions of Rule 38.1 (b) and Rule 38.3 (a) into the use of a cell phone in the kennelling block by a swabbing steward. This investigation was opened and adjourned.

Race 1 | WELCOME TO CAMBRIDGE - C2 - 375 | RYANS THUNDER forced HITMAN FRED over extra ground turning for home. BIGTIME FOX TROT lost ground when attempting to clear the heels of KITTY'S THUNDER in the home straight. |
Race 2 | RAGLAN SPRINT - C1 - 375 | Favourite and eventual winner THRILLING COLT was a stride slow when the boxes opened. Shortly after the start KIND GESTURE was checked by FLIRTATIOUS WINK and CALM RIP on her inside and BIGTIME DANCER on her outside and lost a considerable amount of ground eventually beating two dogs home, 11 lengths from the winner. |
Race 3 | SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLL STAKES - C1 - 457 | JACKO and KINSALE LAD raced in tight quarters going into the first bend, JACKO ran on well afterwards to finish second. POSSUM BORN was slow to begin settling back but ran home well, very wide on the track, to finish fourth. RODGER BAXTER raced wide for the entire journey and failed to make ground finishing 13 lengths from the winner. |
Race 4 | WAIKATO RACEPIX STAKES - C1 - 457 | Favourite THRILLING CHASE was slow to begin but found room late and ran on well for second. GO GROOVY and FANCY EEL came into contact racing into the first bend with GO GROOVY losing ground. CLOSE COMBAT drifted out on the point of the first bend and inconvenienced GO GROOVY. GO GROOVY failed to recover from these two incidents eventually finishing 7 lengths from the winner in sixth. SHEA SHERIE ran home well for third, wide on the track, when clear. A post race veterinary check of SHEA SHERIE revealed no abnormalities. |
Race 5 | TAMAHERE SPRINT - C1 - 375 | Shortly after the start CREEK DIAMOND checked FERVID with YOUNG VALIANT inconvenienced in the incident with all three of these dogs finishing some distance from the winner. The winner of this race, GOLD FOOT, took a tumble at the lure and a post race veterinary inspection revealed no abnormalities. |

Race 7 | THE INTERISLANDER - C4 - 375 | All clear. |
Race 8 | www.greyhoundsaspets.org.nz STAKES - C5 - 457 | TEE SHIRT and EXPRESS RHODE came into contact with each other on the home turn when racing back in the field. There was no head on view of this race. CAWBOURNE RAY (D Schofield). Cut to right fore medial toe above pad. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 7 day stand down up to and including 25/3/08. |
Race 9 | RACEWAY DASH - C1 - 375 | Favourite SALLY'S BABE began well but drifted soon after and finished well back. |
