Judicial report: Weather: fine D Little trainer of JEFFIES FELLA was fined $50.00 under rule 69.11. for presenting the dog to race 1.5 kgs up from its last race start on 27.02.08.--
The payout for race 8 was held up for some time so that the stewards could investigate the distance of the lure throughout the race.
The trainers Mr O Marron of THRILLING PIRATE and Mr D Gough BIGTIME ROYALE and BIGTIME DORA were shown a replay of the race to show them that their dogs were the victims of inteferance at the point in the race that they were concerned about
The clubs electrician Mr Paul Claridge checked the lure and mechanisim and could find no fault.
The all clear was then given by the steward for the T A B to payout on race 8.

Race 1	LUCK OF THE IRISH MAIDEN - C0 - 457	Soon after the start EVA TITU came across and tightened GOES SCIROCCO and NOSH IN SOCKS for several strides Racing down to the first turn DRIVING FOREWARD came across and caused NEREZZA and CAWBOURNE JULIE to come together for a couple of strides On entering the first turn there was tightning to the inside dogs resulting in NOSH IN SOCKS having to check back of f the heels of GOES SCIROCCO and going back to the rear these dogs could not get back in to contention from there on in . NEREZZA was given a veterinary examination and was found to have an injurie requiring a 10 days stand down. SNATCH A CRADLE was a scratching due to a infected paw. SNATCH A CRADLE L Bell infection to surface of right hand claw dog presented veterinary certificate supplied rule 64.12. 7 days stand down to and including 23.03.08. NEREZZA L D Martin spike wound to left hind paw rule 82.1. 10 days stand down to and including 26.03.08.
Race 2	ULSTER PROVINCE SPRINT - C0 - 375	GUIDO was slow to leave the boxes. As the dogs left the boxes MISS BASIL BRUSH came across sharply and seemed to stumble causing LESS THAN IDEAL and GUIDO come together for a few strides. As the field raced in to the first turn THRILLING ELROY ducked across to the rail and ran up on the back of LESS THAN IDEAL almost pulling this dog down ,LESS THAN IDEAL lost ground from there on in and only beat one runner home. LESS THAN IDEAL was sent for a veterinary examination, on abnormalities were found no stand down required. .
Race 3	RIVER SHANNON - C3 - 375	There was no video coverage of this race due to Trackside problems LUKE SAMMY ZAK was a late scratching at kenelling on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given SHARIMORE was a late scratching at kenelling on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given.----------. Race 4	LEINSTER PROVINCE SPRINT - C2 - 375	ARANUI SPEEDY was slow away from the boxes ,but ran on well for 2nd placing at the finish. EVAMORE was a late scratching at kenelling on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given. TUSSY was a late scratching at kenelling on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given. The lure driver was spoken to after the running of this race due to the erratic pulling up of the lure in this and the previous three races, he was reminded that he needs to let the stewards know if there are problems with the lure before and during the races.----------. Race 5	DAILY GREYS TIPLINE 0900-42477 - C4/5 - 375	Racing down to the first turn JAMES BEE and DAPTO GLOSS came together for several strides Going in to the first turn BIGTIME RISK changed ground inwards sharply then had to check back off the heels of WEONA PIRATE and lost ground finishing in last position at the finish BIGTIME RISK was sent for a veterinary examination , no abnormalities were found no stand down required. CRYSTAL HISTORY was a late scratching on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given.----------. Race 6	CONNAUGHT PROVINCE SPRINT - C4 - 375	This race was started three and a half minutes late at the request of trackside. DREAMS OF VISION was slow away Racing in to the first turn CREATIVE TEQUILA came across and took THRILLING POLARS ground causing him to check back and he could not recover to end up in last position at the finish. Shortly before turning for home DREAMS OF VISION was attempting to make ground around the field and had to check back off the heels of THRILLING PIPER as this dog came out to get racing room.----------.
Race 7	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C1 - 375	CAWBOURNE LOLA was slow away and this cost her ground that she could not make up througout the race and she could only beat one runner home. As the field raced in to the first turn JEFFIES FELLA was racing a bir erratic and he ran in to STARLIGHT WOODS who was able to keep going and ran 3rd JEFFIES FELLA was sent for a veterinary examination, no abnormalities were found ,no stand down required LITTLE INTENT was a late scratching on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given. CRYSTAL CYRUS was a late scratching on veterinary advice due to laryingitis a 14 stand down was given.----------. Race 8	MUNSTER PROVINCE SPRINT - C5 - 375	There was a slight delay to the lure moving after the all clear was given for the start. The lure driver said that there was no power for the first 5 seconds he put the lure in motion It took 16 seconds to reach the trip for opening the lids and racing down to the first turn it slowed down a bit and the leading dogs seemed to get a bit close, it carried on to the finish As the field raced down to the first turn AQUAMAN came across towards rhe rail and at the same time BIGTIME DORA came out and ran in to the rear of THRILLING PIRATE then this caused BIGTIME DORA to go in on to and check BIGTIME ROYALE .. Initially it seemed that THIRLLING PIRATE and BIGTIME ROYALE had caught the lure, but after examining the replay it was clear to see that this was not the case . THRILLING PIRATE had thrown his head up making it look like he was backing off the lure , this was not the case as BIGTIMRE DORA had hit him in the side at that point BIGTIME ROYALE was also checked by BIGTIME DORA at this point causing that dog to lose ground .After reviewing the start the stewards deemed that the field left the boxes in a good line. The lure driver was instucted to run the lure in front of the stewards before the all clear was given to carry on to the next race.
Race 9	CARRAUNTOOHIL PEAK - C1/2 - 457	The last two races were put back one race at the request of the stewrds to give the electrician time to check the lure and mechanisims. There was no head on coverage of this race due to trackside commitments ALL CLEAR. .
Race 10	ST. PATRICK'S DAY FAREWELL - C1d - 766	There was no video coverage of this race due to technical problems from trackside. The winner TIZZY LEE BUCKET was slow away and tailed the field until just before the home turn looped the field and went on to win impressivly NGALA was a late scratching on veterinary advice due to laryngitis a 14 days stand down was given.
