Judicial report: Weather: Overcast W SMITH, in charge of greyhounds for owner/trainer C MITCHELL in terms of Rule 66.4 was warned under Rule 68.1. when presenting dogs late for kennelling.

Race 1 | ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C4 - 295 | PAINT THE STARS drifted to the rear after the jump. Into the bend WHISKY LEE GIRL and OLD DANS MATE came together losing ground. Into the home straight GOOD GRACIOUS ME and BEAU collided drifting out to finish at the rear with OLD DANS MATE who hit the running rail on straightening up. He was subject to a post race veterinary check which revealed nothing amiss. |
Race 2 | OPAWA CHALLENGE ALL-UP DASH - C5 - 295 | Racing to the first bend ANOTHER LAUREL was tightened and drifted to the rear. Into the straight KNOW BETTER was tightened and jumped the hindquarters of DUWANNA HAND and was momentarily unbalanced before running home well for fourth. |
Race 3 | SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C4 - 520 | OPAWA STATE and HOMEBUSH BRADLEY were checked from tightening into the first bend. HOMEBUSH BRADLEY and HONCHO came together turning into the home straight when racing midfield. DANCE JUDGE who drifted to last around the first bend never improved during the running. |
Race 4 | MURRAY @ REMAX PH 033715005 STAKES - C1/2 - 520 | The favourite MR JAZZ was slow. Into the first bend LAGOON TALLIS checked out off FREDDIE SAGE coming in contact with KERNAHAN who in turn forced an improving MR JAZZ wide. Soon after CADBURY HAND, LIMITED IMPACT and FREDDIE SAGE came together. Turning for home KERNAHAN and LIMITED IMPACT came together for a number of strides both finishing at the rear. |
Race 5 | SHIRLEY VETERINARY SPRINT - C4 - 295 | RAILS BOOKMAKER was slow to leave the boxes. Into the bend BURSTING OUT improved across the field causing general tightening to FREDERICK BAXTER, RAILS BOOKMAKER, HOMER HAND and GO STRAIT THREW who all lost ground. |
Race 6 | JET PETS SISTERCITY CUP - HEAT 1 - SPECq - 520 Heat 1 | Into the first bend MIC BAXTER tightened WHISKY BOY and GENISTA FLYER who dropped to the rear of the field and did not improve. YOUR TURN (JT McInerney) right hock sprain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 26 March 2008. |
Race 7 | BARRY MORAN MEMORIAL STAKES - C3 - 520 | Into the first bend JOELSON was tightened for room and dropped to the rear finishing last. Across the top CHILE COMMAND ran wide on the track and then tracked back toward the rail coming into contact with PAUL BAXTER who went back sharply. |
Race 8 | JET PETS SISTER CITY CUP - HEAT 2 - SPECq - 520 Heat 1 | ANOTHER LLOYD and LAGOON PHOENIX were slow to leave the boxes. Into the first bend FANTA CLAWS attempted to run out and collided with BAXTERS LAD suffering a bad check in the process. Soon after IN TOMS MEMORY ran out and forced ANOTHER LLOYD and LAGOON PHOENIX wide on the track. |
Race 9 | CANTERBURY OTB ASSN STAKES - C4/5 - 520 | Into the first bend the favourite COSMIC ZEUS ran out and collided with BIG TEASE and SATANS PLOT with all these dogs losing their chance. |
Race 10 | DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER DASH - C5 - 295 | Into the bend RUDI JEWEL improved around the outside causing tightening to the dogs racing on the inside. RICK BAXTER was squeezed for room and HOMEBUSH FITZY badly checked on the rail with resultant checks to the trailing runners STRATUS BEKELEE, STOKER and ZIGGY WAR CRY who could not avoid the melee. |
