Judicial report: Weather: Overcast Trainer AC Roberts was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when GROOVY AGAIN, a starter in Race 6 weighed in 1.1kgs above his last race start weight.
Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when MULISHA BALE , a starter in Race 15 weighed in 1.5kgs under his last race start weight.

Race 1 ADVANCE PERFORMANCE SPRINT - C1 - 295 DAISY'S MAGIC was slow to jump. HAMBURGER, KNOW TITLE and GEMMA'S COUNTRY came together into the bend when racing at the rear. They filled the last four placings.
Race 2 CHALLENGE OPAWA ALL UP STAKES - C2/3 - 520 Into the back straight JOELSON ran out and tightened CHARLI'S ECHO who lost all chance to finish last. LIMITED IMPACT who was handy early drifted out over the concluding stages to finish second to last. A post race veterinary check revealed nothing amiss. Trainers representative J McInerney Jnr was spoken to regarding the dog's poor performance and he could offer no explanation. He was advised the Stewards would monitor the dog's further race performances.
Race 3 JET PETS ANIMAL TRANSPORT DASH - C1 - 295 The favourite LAGOON MUNRO was slow to jump. Into the bend she improved moving down towards the rail and tightened MY BAXTER, KNOW WHAT, BREENYS GIRL and CLAN McINERNEY. They lost all chance to fill the last four placings. BE POSITIVE (RD Blackburn) right triceps sprain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 10 March 2008.
Race 4 SHIRLEY TAB SPRINT - C2 - 295 Into the bend HOMEBUSH BREE improved across from the outside and tightened RIVIERA CHIC, MIGHTY POWER and GENISTA SPIRIT who lost momentum and filled the last three placings.
Race 5 WILSONS SPORTS BAR DASH - C1 - 295 Into the bend HIGHWAY BAXTER tightens KNOW GLORY and NICKER TIME. Soon after with pressure from the outside CLAN MARY pushed MCMANUS into the path of KIWI YOUNG. KIWI YOUNG climbed on the hindquarters of MCMANUS and lost all chance. Into the straight NICKER TIME ran out and collided with THEMELO while racing near the rear. ROBTITLE (JT McInerney) right fore middle web split. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and ihncluding 12 March 2008.
Race 6 NUTRI-ZING STAKES - C4 - 520 Into the first bend TOMMY LEE WHISKY moved in and squeezed MICK BAXTER who switched ground to the outside with a resultant check to HONCHO.
Race 7 MURRAY @ RE/MAX PH 03-371-5005 DASH - C1 - 295 Into the bend HOMEBUSH HOUDINI ran in and tightened CHILE MAID and the favourite SAINT DANIEL, with CHILE MAID coming back on MR BARRINGTON who dropped out to finish last. Soon after HOMEBUSH VALERIE ran out and tightened WILLY ECHO for a number of strides. Both dogs sustained checks. LAGOON FARNHAM (JT McInerney) left hock strain. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 days up to and including 16 March 2008.
Race 8 DAVID EMERSON CONSULTANCY SPRINT - C1 - 295 Soon after the jump CATCH A DIVA and HOMEBUSH CASTOR tangled. Into the bend ALECIA RELTUB improved around the outside causing pressure to CHILE DAN and TURN THE CARD who came together and squeezed out the trailing HOMEBUSH CASTOR.The favourite HOMEBUSH CASTOR dropped back but ran on late for fifth.
Race 9 DENTRESE KENNELS PH 03-312-5746 STAKES - C1 - 520 MURPHYS MISTAKE was slow to jump and then ran to the outside of the track losing ground. Into the first bend MACKS BOUNTY checked out off KNOW WHEN and cannoned into WHO'S SHIFTY who was checked and then struck by CLAN SAVIOUR and the improving MURPY'S MISTAKE. WHO'S SHIFTY stumbled but did not fall but tailed off and finished last. A post race veterinarian inspection found nothing amiss.
Race 10 www.christchurchgreyhounds.co.nz DASH - C0 - 295 Into the bend PAREORA LASS tightened AWESOME FLASH who was checked before being struck by HAILSTONE HENRY who was very slow to jump. Around the bend PAREORA LASS moved out and collided with HAILSTONE HENRY who drifted quickly to finish last. A post race veterinary check revealed mild pain in the left hock with a 7 day stand down recommended. HAILSTONE HENRY (JT McInerney) left hock pain. Rule 82.1. 7 days up to and including 10 March 2008.
Race 11 TUESDAY PLACE PICK DASH - C3 - 295 HOMER HAND was badly checked by dogs on his outer into the bend drifting quickly through the field to settle last before running onto to beat one home.
Race 12 NZ COMMUNITY TRUSTS STAKES - C0 - 520 Into the first bend LA DOLCE VITA and HOMEBUSH ERNIE came together and drifted wide on the track. HOMEBUSH ERNIE recovered and ran on solidly for fourth.
Race 13 THE INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C0 - 295 MAD CAP MAGGS was very slow to leave the boxes and tailed off. Into the bend HOMEBUSH BEX moved out and contacted THIS AND THAT who ran wide and came into contact with HAILSTONE ANGEL who was forced wide on the track. CLAN SLITHER (HG Cairns) left fore 5th metacarpal strain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 12 March 2008. CAWBOURNE PACE (MM Grant) left hock injury. Rule 64.14. 28 days up to and including 30 March 2008.
Race 14 SUPER PETS STAKES - C0 - 520 Soon after the start GUNNA SMOKE and HAILSTONE HERB came together. Into the bend HAILSTONE HERB came across and squeezed TIPITS TO SMART and GUNNA SMOKE who lost ground. HAILSTONE HIKRY who was prominent early, compounded racing to the final bend and dropped out to finish last.
Race 15 PICK SIX LEG ONE - C4 - 295 All clear
Race 16 FLAIR STAKES - C1 - 520 Around the first bend CLAN DESPERADO clipped the heals of RUBIX BALE who faltered coming back on MR JOLES and MOUNT RILEY who lost all chance. RUBIX BALE drifted right out pulling up at the top of the home straight. A post race veterinary check revealed a spike wound and bruising to a hind tibia with a 14 day stand down recommended RUBIX BALE (JM Jopson) right hind spike wound. Rule 82.1. 14 days up to and including 17 March 2008.
Race 17 COASTERS TAVERN SPRINT - C3 - 295 CALLING COLLECT and NGAWI BAY drifted to the rear after the jump finishing well back. STYLISH HUGGIE (R Adcock) retired.
Race 18 DAVE ROBBIE PHOTOGRAPHER STAKES - C1 - 520 Into the bend SOUTHERN MAN, GOLDEN MOVER and CONSTABLE KEITH were squeezed for racing room. DEAR ABBEY was forced to race wide on the track to avoid these runners but ran on solidly to finish fourth.
Race 19 CONTAINERS DIRECT INTERTRADE DASH - C2 - 295 As the dogs were being loaded away the left front catch to the lids was reported to the starter as being unlatched and he was able to close the latch without incident. At the jump BOUNCEM BLITZEM was slow to jump. Around the bend DASH DOT DASH was squeezed for racing room and TWO TICK JESSIE ran wide on the track, dropping to the rear of the field. Soon after GROOVY CARLA was tightened for racing room, checked off the heels of HEZA LIL and was in tight quarters before making ground late to be third.
Race 20 SPEIGHTS SIX PACK - C2 - 520 SMASH PALACE made the early pace but faded out once headed. Into the first bend JACKPOT JACK was tightened and came back on TRENDY OPAWA and FREDDIE SAGE. FIERY FALCON was handy at the winning post but after being nudged by JACKPOT JACK dropped out to finish at the rear of the field.
