Judicial report: Weather: fine J R Udy trainer of LAST RIDE was fined $50.00 under rule 69.11. for presenting the dog 1.1kgs up from it's last race start on the 20.02.08.
HOMEBUSH SQUIRT C Clark has been stood down under rule 81.1. for an unsatisfatory performance in race four and must pass a satisfactory trial -'s before racing again.
Lure driver Mr D Richards was given an offical warning for not pulling the lure up until well past the safety fence in race six.
An inquiry was opened and adjourned in to the failure of the lure in race ten and the subsequant abandonment of that race.----------.

Race 1	AP1 METROLOGY DASH - C0 - 375	As the dogs left the boxes CAWBOURNE LOLA came across quickly towards the rail and caused checks to HIGHWAY GUN, TIMMY VINE and HOMEBUSH TARNZ. Going around the top bend TIMMY VINE(fav) was trying to get out wide for racing room and LOTSA SNOW ran up on his heels and fell, but got up and finished the race a distance behind the field. LOTSA SNOW was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found no stand down required. MISS BASIL BRUSH was a scratching due to gastroenteritis. MISS BASIL BRUSH D J Parata gastroenteritis veterinary certificate supplied rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 11.03.08.
Race 2	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C0 - 457	THRILLING TOKEN (fav) a first starter, stood in the boxes as the lids opened and lost about 5 or more lengths Racing down to the first turn GOES SCIROCCO came out and bumped LAST RIDE. As the field were turning in to the home straight THRILLING TOKEN was endevouring to make a run through the field ran up on the back heels of LAST RIDE and both dogs lost their momentum for a few strides which cost them a chance of paying a dividend at the finish. .
Race 3	DECOART PRINTED PRODUCTS, LEVIN - C4 - 375	As the field raced down to the first turn THRILLING TYKE came over across on to DOUBLE HAPPY who kept his ground resulting in THRILLING TYKE being checked back for a few strides. Racing towards the home turn SHARIMORE came out for racing room and cannoned in to RED BIRD costing them both ground at that point. THRILLING POLAR was a scratching due to gastroenteritis----------. THRILLING POLAR D J Parata gastroenteritis veterinary certificate supplied rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 11.03.08.
Race 4	RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C1 - 375	Soon after leaving the boxes there was tightning between THRILLING COLT, THRILLING ELSA and QUICK LAUGH as they tried to clear each other. HOMEBUSH SQUIRT was quickly away from the boxes for 25 metres or so then drifted back through the field and was then checked by YES MISS going in to the first turn who was making ground up through the field at that point HOMEBUSH SQUIRT went back to the rear and finished 5 or so lengths behind the field, a subsequant veterinary examination found injuries requiring a 14 days stand down ,also as a result of her performance before she was checked in the race she has been stood down under rule 81.1. and must trial to the satisfaction of the stewards or a authorised person.--------. HOMEBUSH SQUIRT C Clark injury to digital right quadriceps femoris muscle rules and 82.1. 14 days stand down to and including 16.03.08.----------.
Race 5	DAILY GREYS TIPLINE 0900-42477 - C5 - 375	Soon after the start there was crowding as BIGTIME DORA came across on to THRILLING GYPSY and GRUNDY, THRILLING NEWTON was coming over at the same time and as a result GRUNDY and THRILLING GYPSYwere checked back to the rear. As the field headed in to the first turn THRILLING NEWTON crossed on to the rail and caused GRUNDY to be squeezed on to the rail and make contact for a couple of strides with BLASTING POINT on his outer and BIGTIME DORA who was making ground was checked and made to race wide around the top bend. GRUNDYwas observed to be uncomfortable in the running there after and was sent for a veterinary examination were an injury requiring a 14 days stand down. STRETCHES was a scratching ex Wairarapa.----------. STRETCHES J Woolston-Bell ex Wairarapa . GRUNDY C J Morris injury fracture of third paacanx of p five on left hind rule 82.1.14 days stand down to and including 16.03.08.
Race 6	MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS - C1 - 457	ZORRO MAN (fav) was only fairly away from the boxes and was then tightened between RODGER BAXTER and ROCKET RISING as HOMEBUSH ABEL and TUI THUNDER looking to get to the rail, resulting in TUI THUNDER pushing ZORRO MAN on to RODGER BAXTER ,then ZORRO MAN ran out of room and ran up on the back of TUI THUNDER , which caused RODGER BAXTER to also be checked and lose ground at that point. The lure failed to pull up at the finish of the safety fence and carried on for another 70 metres or so, the lure driver was spoken to in regards of this and readily admitted that this was his fault and was given an offical warning .--------.
Race 7	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C3 - 375	As the field made their way in to the first turn BLUE WATCH came out in to the path of LAGOON RISE causing him to check back off heels , and BLUE WATCH raced wide around the top bend in to the straight--covering a lot of extra ground and finished in last place --.
Race 8	NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES GRADUATION #3 FINAL - RES - 457	Soon after the start THRILLING BRUTE and HUTT PARK LASS came together for a couple of strides. Racing in to the first turn BIGTIME PAUL came across from the outside as SWAPPA CRATE came out off the rail and caused THRILLING WOLF to run out of room and he had to duck back to the rail to avoid trouble and lost valuable ground ,but ran on well for 3rd placing
Race 9	MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - C2 - 375	Soon after the field left the boxes there was jostling and tightning between the whole field as they all were looking for racing room resulting in HOMEBUSH ALLY and JAW BORN being squeezed out the back and JAW BORN had to change ground sharply going in to the first turn to avoid getting on heels These two dogs did not recover from there and finished in the last two placings DADDY'S DESTINY was a late scratching off course due to diorrehea . DADDY'S DESTINY B R D Cole diorrehea late scratching veterinary certificate supplied rule 68.26. 10 days stand down to and including 12.03.08.
Race 10	THE TRUSTS CHARITABLE SCURRY - C1 - 375	After the dogs were boxed it was noticed that the lure had not been set in motion, repeated requests by the steward to the lure driver by two way radio went unanswered by the lure driver After a period of time the starter asked permission to unload the dogs and this was affirmed immediately The starter advised the dogs were to be unloaded and the trainer of the number five dog proceded to unload his dog when it was noticed the lure was on its way and he pushed the dog back in and the field was dispatched. The starter had not unarmed the box lids so the race could not be stopped, also due to club policy of handlers being able to run back to the catching area after the dogs have been boxed ,there was only one handler at the boxes when this problem occurred. After the field had travelled to the top bend the lure driver pulled the lure up and the dogs caught it ,but five dogs carried on around to the back straight. In the interests of animal welfare a decision was made to abandon the race
