Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when LAGOON PHOENIX weighed in 1.4kgs under his last race weight on 21 February 2008.
Trainers A Hart and K Taylor were fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when NITRO MARIA weighed in 1.5kgs over her last race weight on 21 February 2008.
Trainer JT McInerney was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11. when ROSE OF TARLEE weighed in 1.3kgs under her last race weight on 11 February 2008.

The dog was observed to be bleeding from a cut to a toe after the race but a post race veterinary check confirmed that no stand down was necessary. CAWBOURNE STACEY was tightened into the bend and lost ground with WAKATIPU FLYER being forced wide as a result. |
| Race 2 | FIRST SOVEREIGN TRUST RAILWAY SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C5q - 318 Heat 1 | SIR KRETION was tightened when looking for racing room into the bend and lost ground. Shortly after this THRILLING JASPER checked outwards off CANYA SEE ME coming into contact with GENISTA ASSASSIN with these dogs all losing their chances. VICTORY CHANT dropped off the field in the back straight and finished a long last. A post race veterinary check revealed a muscle tear with a fourteen day stand down recommended. On the home turn SUISSA ran wide and lost ground before running on for fourth. This race was won in track record equalling time by ANOTHER GALE who jumped to the lead and won well. |
| Race 7 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL AUCKLAND CUP - HEAT 3 - C5q - 527 Heat 1 | BAXTERS LAD, MAJOR CONQUEST and SLINGBACK came together on the first bend losing some ground. On the last bend SLINGBACK checked outwards off NITRO MARTA who had come off the rail to make her run. SLINGBACK battled on for fourth. WINSOME STATE (BDF Craik) left fore digit injury. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 3 March 2008. |
| Race 8 | FIRST SOVEREIGN TRUST RAILWAY SPRINT - HEAT 5 - C5q - 318 Heat 1 | TIGGERLONG FURY was slow from the outside. The favourite BLACK TIE was a shade slow but pushed up on the inside on FORWARD SOLUTION and KARL BAXTER into the turn. This caused these latter two dogs to come together with AGENT VICKI and ANGELITO being held up in behind them. AGENT VICKI received another check shortly after when attempting to clear KARL BAXTER and lost her chance. ANGELITO received a spike wound in this incident with the veterinary surgeon recommending a seven day stand down. ANGELITO (JT McInerney) spike wounds and bruising left hind digit. | Race 9 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL AUCKLAND CUP - HEAT 4 - C5q - 527 Heat 1 | TEE SHIRT checked outwards off the heels of FANCY CHARM into the first bend and lost momentum. In this incident COOL GROOVY was moved wider on the track. |
| Race 10 | PACIFIC SHEET & COIL AUCKLAND CUP - HEAT 5 - C5q - 527 Heat 1 | WINSOME BLITZ was slow to jump and remained well back throughout. MOOD SWINGER was handy until the back straight when she dropped back through the field. This caused EDDY'S GOAL to be checked and lose his chance. A post race veterinary check of MOOD SWINGER revealed no injury. |
