| Race 1 | GEON WELLINGTON SCURRY - C0 - 375 | At the start there was crowding to the four inside runners caused by LILLI LANGTRY crossing over quickly towards the rail, all these dogs lost ground in the first 50 metres or so through this. Racing down into the first turn FANCY MAY(fav) came out off the rail sharply and took HOMEBUSH TARNZ wide into and around the first bend. At the same time LESS THAN IDEAL came across towards the rail and tightened THRILLING COLT, but he was able to muscle his way through and went on to win well. As the made their way down to the first turn THRILLING BRUTE and MANNIN THE WAKA jostled each other for some distance as they both tried to clear each other. | Race 3 | PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C4 - 375 | As the field jumped from the boxes THRILLING GAME (fav) was squeezed back to the rear as ARANUI DIAMOND came out and DREAMS OF VISION ran inwards. THRILING GAME was able to gain a run up on the fence around the top bend and ran on for 5th placing.----------. |

| Race 7 | OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C5 - 375 | Racing down to the first turn CRYSTAL WENDY came out as THRILLING NEWTON came in GONE WILD was racing well in front in to the home straight , soon after began to tire as THRILLING JASPER and FANCY CHARM made their runs ,and as they went past GONE WILD had to check back off heels for a stride losing some momentum. As FANCY CHARM was finishing stronger this caused THRILLING JASPER to anticipate being checked close to the line and lost a length or so at that point. TEEJAY was a scratching under the 100 km rule . BLUE CHIP VIRUS was a scratching due to a quadriceps muscle injury.----------. | Race 8 | NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES GRADUATION #3 - HEAT 4 - RESq - 457 Heat 1 | NATURE RULES and CHAMSIN CREEK came together at the start. As the field raced down to the first turn OPAWA LIZ came out wide and pushed LOTTO BALLS out who in turn pushed ELLES HOT very wide around the top bend. There was a close finish for the minor placingsand ELLES HOT ran on remarkably well to finish very fast in the dying stages to finish a close up 6th placing. | Race 9 | TIM JOLLY COMMERCIALS, TAUPO - C2 - 375 | As the field left the boxes SUZIE THE FLUZIE (fav) stumbled as she came out awkwardly, as she attempted to make up ground from there SUZIE THE FLOOZIE and STARLIGHT WOODS jostled each other a couple of times Racing in to the first turn resulting in SUZIE THE FLOOZIE racing wide in to and around the top bend which cost her a lot of lost ground but she ran on well in the straight to finish in 2nd placing REBEL ALLIANCE was well away from the boxes in front ,then drifted through the field and finshed in last position The trainer was spoken to regarding the unsatisfactory performance of REBEL ALLIANCE and has advised the stewards that the dog will not be perservered with as a racing proposition any further and has been retired.. |
| Race 10 | THANK YOU MARGARET FAIRBAIRN - C3 - 375 | AUSTIN (fav) was a bit slow away from the boxes and got caught in behind a bit of early crowding caused by CENTRAL RAIDER coming across the field quickly from box seven THRILLING POLAR was clear of the early crowding and was able to lead all the way to win As the field made their way around the top bend AUSTIN was trying to race into contention was checked back by SYDENHAM GREEN on his outside and as the field turned in to the home straight AUSTIN was checked again by BLASTING POINT coming out looking for racing room ,effectivly costing AUSTIN to lose more ground and he finished in 2nd to last placing. THRILLING SNOW was a scratching due to gastroenteritis. THRILLING LAZER was a scratching due to a injury to left digital at level of tarsus.----------.
