Soon after, SEXY GIRL SUTTON moved in and checked TARA LILLY who went back and out causing severe checks to CATHY'S CHARGE and TIGER INDY WOODS and they never recovered and finished in the last three places. | Race 2 | Mickeys Super Liquor - C3/4 - 305 | One of the favourites SIR KRETION was the slowest away and was then checked on the first corner when racing onto the heels of ROYAL DOLL. SIR KRETION was then observed to finish on for 4th place. LITTLE GYMNIST checked on the bend when also racing onto the heels of other runners and she finished in last place. DREAMS OF VISION G.Clarke Rule 64 Suffering from dehydration and stood down for 5 days to and including 18.02.08. |
| Race 3 | Guthrie Bowron, Wanganui - C4 - 305 | STACEY'S WAY checked off the heels of CAWBOURNE STACEY and went back onto CREATIVE TEQUILA on the first corner and both lost ground. CREATIVE TEQUILA was again checked on the bend and finished in 2nd last place. |
| Race 4 | Keenan Concrete 6 PACK - C2 - 520 | ELITE PARADISE and FLY BEAU were tightened and checked on the first corner and FLY BEAU then recovered to make ground well for 4th. ELITE PARADISE stayed well back and finished 2nd last and was examined by the Vet and no abnormalities were found and no stand down required |
| Race 5 | Wanganui Farm Supplies - C3 - 520 | One of the favourites HE'S A KIWI was checked going into the first turn and dropped back to last. He was again checked entering the final bend and dropped back to the rear and stayed there to the finish. THRILLING MAGIC was checked entering the back straight and lost ground and finished in 2nd last place. HEZA BOOF Freeman & Turnwald Rule 68 A late scratching due to suffering from a lesion on a front tendon and stood down for 10 days to and including 24.02.08. THRILLING CHANCE A.Udy Rule 64 Suffering from pain in a shoulder muscle and stood down for 5 days to and including 18.02.08. |
| Race 6 | Interislander - C0d - 645 | TIZZY LEE BUCKET was slow away and found losing ground early in the race she could make up and she beat two home. DAPTO TOKEN was checked soon after the start by LOTTO BALLS and then ran wide around the first two bends costing him ground and he finished in last place. WINSOME DIGNITY jumped awkwardly from the boxes. |
| Race 7 | Gary Ross Decorator - C4/5 - 520 | MAJOR CONQUEST was slow away but was then able to run around the field and finished well to win. As the field made their way into the back straight the leader at that point FLAG THE BANK was noticed to falter and drop back through the field and was the last runner home. A veterinary examination found she has suffered an injury to a hock and has been stood down for twenty eight days. There was no head on coverage from trackside for this race. THRILLING AFFAIR Freeman & Turnwald Rule 64 Suffering from a bite wound and stood down for 10 days to and including 21.02.08. SAVAGE CONQUEST D.Schofield Rule 68 A late scratching due to suffering from diarrhoea and stood down for 5 days to and including 19.02.08. FLAG THE BANK L.Ahern Injury to near hind hock Rule 82.1. 28 days stand down to and including 13.03.08. |
| Race 8 | Dimocks Retravision - C5 - 305 | Soon after leaving the boxes KYLIE'S DILEMA raced across the field and pushed STAR CONQUEST over towards the rail . As they raced into the first turn PAPAMOA LASS came off the rail and bumped KYLIE'S DILEMA off stride and he went back through the field causing BIGTIME ELLA to go back on to ZENSU. Soon after, DOUBLE HAPPY got up on the back of AGENT VICKI dragging her down and she fell and caused checks to BIGTIME ELLA,ZENSU and KYLIE'S DILEMA. The only two dogs to keep clear off this trouble were STAR CONQUEST and PAPAMOA LASS these being the first two dogs home AGENT VICKI was sent for a veteriary examination where no abnormalities were found no stand down required. |
| Race 9 | Morrie Gibbons Signs - C5 - 305 | Soon after the start SKADDADLE and EXPRESS SOLDIER came together and lay on one another for some considerable distance resulting in EXPRESS SOLDIER being checked back to the rear. Soon after BIGTIME ROYALE got on the heels of DAPTO GLOSS momentarly and lost ground but ran on again for fourth placing |
| Race 10 | The Radio Works - C3 - 305 | Soon after the start BLUE WATCH came across the front of the inside dogs and caused severe crowding to PRAISE, KIA KAHA and BIGTIME EXPRESS, BIGTIME EXPRESS was able to recover and ran on for third placing. The other two dogs could not recover to get back in to contention and finished towards the rear |
