Judicial report: Weather: Fine GA Lawrence trainer of KIND GESTURE was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when she weighed in 1.2kgs over its last race weight on 17 January 2008.
DW Mathews trainer of TOP DEAL was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when he weighed in 1.1kgs over its last race weight on 4 January 2008.
MJ Lozell trainer of BOLD JENNI was fined $100.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when she weighed in 1.6kgs over its last race weight on 14 January 2008.
GJ Noakes trainer of INVESTIGATE was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when he weighed in 1.2kgs under its last race weight on 13 January 2008.
Starter Gary Sharp was fined $100.00 after he admitted a breach of Rule 88.1.o. in that he failed to activate the automatic tripping device prior to Race 10 thus meaning the boxes failed to open. It was noted that Mr Sharp had received a warning under this Rule in May 2007.

A post race veterinary check revealed a gracilis injury with a forty two day stand down recommended. There was no head-on view available for this race. KIRSTEN DEAL (DW Mathews) torn pad right fore foot. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 7 days up to and including 5 February 2008. THRILLING HAZEL (K Walsh) torn right gracilis. Rule 82.1. 42 days up to and including 12 March 2008. |
Race 2 | SHOTZ POOL LOUNGE STAKES - C0 - 457 | STORM WATCHER was slow to jump and remained last throughout. CAWBOURNE GEORGA was in front until half way down the straight when PERSUASION passed it and appeared to run in slightly. This caused CAWBOURNE GEORGA to check and lose ground finishing sixth. A post race veterinary check of CAWBOURNE GEORGA revealed no injury. |
Race 3 | PUTARURU ARMS MOTOR INN DASH - C1 - 375 | Favourite THRILLING SLATE was last to jump. He improved through the middle of the field on the bend pushing MISS EILEEN outwards on that bend before running on well for third. GOLD FOOT was dragged down from behind into the bend losing ground. |
Race 4 | POCKETS 8 BALL CLUB SPRINT - C2 - 375 | BOLD JENNI was slow to jump before running on well for third. Into the bend STREET TALL, FORWARD SOLUTION and NANCY'S WISH came together with NANCY'S WISH receiving the worst of it dropping back to the rear. Shortly after this RYAN'S THUNDER, BOLD JENNI and PLENTY OF DASH were all held up for room when towards the rear. |
Race 5 | GATEWAY GLASS (TOKOROA) STAKES - C1 - 457 | KEEP YA COOL was vying for the lead into the bend until the eventual winner CAWBOURNE RAY ran past it and forced it on to the running rail. KEEP YA COOL bounced outwards and checked TOTAL INFERNO who was improving behind it. TOTAL INFERNO dropped to the rear. A post race check on KEEP YA COOL revealed no injury. LAURETANA BOY (K Sutch-Jones) mid back pain and right deltoid pain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 days up to and including 8 February 2008. |
Race 6 | TGRC MEMBERS SPRINT - C1 - 375 | Favourite THRILLING BLOKE received a slight check soon after the jump but settled handy thereafter and only battled for its fifth. |
Race 7 | IVAN GRAYS NEW WORLD STAKES - C4 - 457 | All clear. |
Race 8 | TGRC PRESIDENTS DASH - C5 - 375 | STATELY CONQUEST ran outwards into the bend inconveniencing some runners with PUNISH and TRENDY SON being the worst affected. |
Race 9 | SOUTH WAIKATO CUP - C5 - 457 | EXPRESS RHODE was very slow to jump running on late for sixth. ANOTHER PRIDE was badly checked as THRILLING TED ran outwards into the bend. ANOTHER PRIDE dropped away to finish last with a post race veterinary check revealing no injury. |
Race 10 | THANK YOU TREVOR SPRINT - C3/4 - 375 | The boxes failed to open for this event due to the starter failing to activate the automatic tripping device. The race was started four minutes late after all dogs were taken out of the boxes and checked by the veterinary surgeon. The race was all clear. |
Race 11 | TODD MCPHEE DASH - C2 - 375 | MAXINE'S BEAUTY was checked into the bend losing ground and finishing last. |
Race 12 | COMMITTEE STAKES - C2/3 - 457 | COMMON ERROR was tightened into the bend and lost ground. |
