Race 8 | WIZARD HOME LOANS MANAWATU CUP - HEAT ONEC5q - C5q - 457 Heat 1 | KEROMA ASSASSIN, TEEJAY and THRILLING HUGO were all checked and lost ground on the first corner. The winner PADDY FLYIN got extremely close to the lure entering the home straight but the lure then pulled away. The authorisation for payment was held up while the Stewards inquired into the matter but were satisfied that the only runner which may have been slightly inconvenienced was the winner and the payout authority was given. The Lure Driver was formally warned in relation to the matter and advised that more care should be taken in maintaining an acceptable distance between the lure and the leading runner.
