Judicial report: Weather: Fine The inquiry into the scratching of reserve dog LIMITED IMPACT on 21.01.08 which was opened and adjourned on that date, was completed and no further action was considered necessary as the dog was withdrawn in compliance with the rules. M.Gardner the Trainer of JUST A DRIP was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms underweight.
M.Gardner the Trainer of DANCING BANSHEE was fined $ 50-00 under Rule 69.11 when presenting the dog 1.1 kilograms underweight.

Race 1 CLARK SEAFOODS SPRINT - C2/3 - 305 BIGTIME EXPRESS was bumped between runners on the home turn and may have had its chance of a closer placing then 5th affected.
Race 2 WELCOME Gen-i WESTPAC HURDLES - C1/2h - 520 JUST A DRIP fell at the last hurdle and was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with lacerations. JUST A DRIP M.Gardner Rule 82 Fell and suffered from lacerations and stood down for 14 days to and including 07.02.08.
Race 3 www.totalbodyshop.co.nz - C3/4 - 520 THRILLING ACE and PALSY O'CEIRIN were checked on the first corner and dropped out to the rear with PALSY O'CEIRIN being the most affected and he lost several lengths and finished in last place. THRILLING ACE was again checked on the last bend, lost several lengths and finished in 2nd last place.
Race 4 NZGRA WELLINGTON OAKS - R/A - 520 GROOVY SHOT was checked back to last when tightened in the race to the first corner but recovered to make up a huge amount of ground to finish fast for 4th place.
Race 5 OPAWA RACING LTD - WGTN DERBY - R/A - 520 HE'S A KIWI was severely checked soon after the start and lost several lengths. The favourite AUSSIE OPAWA was checked on the first turn and ran out forcing LAURETANA BOY wide on the first bend and they both lost several lengths. THANK YOU JIM galloped on the heels of the leader WINSOME CHANCE starting the last bend and soon after BILL THE LAWYER also clipped the heels of WINSOME CHANCE and lost ground.
Race 6 BRANDON ST. TAB - WGTN - C1/2 - 520 All clear. PRAISE J & J Tapiki Rule 64 Suffering from a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.02.08. FLY BEAU Gained a start in race 9. HOMEBUSH BIGSHOW J.McInerney Rule 63.10 Scratched under distance from track rule.
Race 7 EXCHANGE HOTEL - LOWER HUTT - C5 - 520 ANOTHER LLOYD moved in on the first corner and checked DOSSES ANGEL who dropped back to last and stayed there to the finish. IRRITABILITY ran out on the final bend for no apparent reason but recovered to hold 3rd place. BACHELOR J.McInerney Rule 64 Suffering from a carpal joint injury and stood down for 7 days to and including 30.01.08. FINAL EPISODE B.Cole Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 03.02.08.
Race 8 Gen-i WELLINGTON CUP - C5f - 520 THRILLING TAZ ran out on the first corner and made contact with JUDDY who was forced a little wide but recovered to finish in 2nd place. THRILLING TAZ lost several lengths and tailed the field throughout to finish last.
Race 9 DISTANCE CHALLENGE CUP - C2d - 645 FLY BEAU moved out soon after entering the home straight for the first time and checked CAWBOURNE BARON who dropped out to last and stayed there to the finish. WINSOME DOSH J & D Fahey Rule 64 Suffering from a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 02.02.08.
Race 10 THE EMPIRE - PALM.NTH - C4 - 305 HILLYS TIP and HOMEBUSH BELLA bumped together for several strides in the run to the first corner and eventually both checked back to the rear and they finished in the last two places.
