Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer Mrs DL Annette was fined $50.00 for a breach of Rule 69.11 when BIGTIME TRACKER weighed in at 27.6 kgs which was 1.3 kgs above its last race weight on 28 December 2007.
The first three races were judged manually due to the late arrival of the photo-finish operator.

Race 1 LECTRO HAIR & BEAUTY SPRINT - C0 - 318 STOLEN THUNDER was slow to jump running on well for third. ELITE FITNESS checked off the back of THRILLING AMY into the bend with both dogs losing ground. THUNDER FOOT was very slow settling last and received a check into the bend when attempting to improve around THRILLING AMY. THUNDER FOOT finished last.
Race 2 OXYSHOT ELMORE OIL SPRINT - C2 - 318 BIGTIME DANCER again proved difficult to box and will remain a box first dog. BIGTIME DANCER and BROTHER BADGER were slow from the outside boxes. BLUE DENIM ran outwards into the bend severely checking NANCY'S WISH who dropped away to finish last. BROTHER BADGER received a check as NANCY'S WISH went back through the field. A post race veterinary check of NANCY'S WISH revealed no injury.
Race 3 PELORUS TRUST GREYHOUNDS NORTH DISTANCE - C0d - 603 The winner CLASS MATE ran inwards as it reached the lead on the home turn checking the pacemaking SIMPLY BLESSED who had to change ground. She finished fourth.
Race 4 PAT'S GARAGE STAKES - C0 - 527 SUNSET SERIES was slow to jump from the inside. ONSET ran outwards soon after the jump then went back to the rail causing kennelmate PROOF PISTOL to run outwards checking KIND GESTURE and TEEGAN. RACCY SKIP received some backwash in this incident. In the back straight TEEGAN received a check and lost a few lengths. She did well to get up for third.
Race 5 COMMERCIAL PLUMBING SPRINT - C3/4 - 318 COMICAL ALI attempted to run outwards into the bend tightening MISS COOL DASH and HOT DOC who lost some ground. On the bend SMART WAVES was checked twice when looking for room to improve. She finished fifth. NEW CLEAR POWER (K Braithwaite) cut pad right fore. Dog presented. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 5 days up to and including 20 January 2008.
Race 6 THE INTERISLANDER STAKES - C4/5 - 527 SAVAGE CONQUEST was the slowest to jump. Pressure from the outside caused tightening to KAIMAI BELLE, KING JOKER and SAVAGE CONQUEST on the first turn with these dogs settling at the rear. KING JOKER ran on well for fifth.
Race 7 THE PHOENIX SPRINT - C1 - 318 Favourite AGENT WHALE was very slow to jump settling last. He passed three in the run home. KITTY'S THUNDER ducked down to the rail soon after the jump checking GATLIN GHOST to the rear. Soon after GATLIN GHOST ran outwards making contact with an improving AGENT WHALE. KITTY'S THUNDER was tightened into the bend and appeared to brush the rail. A post race veterinary check revealed no injury.
Race 8 JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS STAKES - C2 - 527 COMMON ERROR was very slow to jump. Favourite KADDLEY missed the jump and improved wide around the field into the back straight. His effort to run third was meritorious.
Race 9 THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SPRINT - C5 - 318 TRENDY SON, PUNISH and JOHNNY came together into the first bend when towards the rear.
Race 10 THERMOPEUTIC PRODUCTS SPRINT - C1 - 318 THRLLING ROMEO was slow to jump. On the bend GOLD FOOT checked outwards sharply off BIGTIME LEGEND giving BREATHLYSE ME a nasty check. BREATHLYSE ME was checked by the veterinary surgeon and no problems were found.
