Judicial report: Weather: fine The hearing into a charge against Trainer Mr P.Boon was concluded at this meeting. Mr P.Boon was charged with a breach of rule 88 (1) (q). it was alleged by the Stewards that Mr P. Boon had struck his greyhound Surf It Up when retrieving this runner from the kennels on the 23 -11-07. prior to race 3. Mr Boon denied stricking his greyhound with a closed fist however Mr Boon admitted the charge that he did strike Surf it Up with an open hand. A fine of $250.00 was imposed by the Adjudicating Steward in this instance having taken into consideration the admission of the breach of this rule by Mr P.Boon.
Trainer Mr S.Mann was warned for being late to catch in race 9.

Race 1	CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - HEAT 1 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	Take Him. Kylasi, Sunset Series and Port Of Sparta were the slowest to begin. Breathlyse me jumped and then ran inwards checking itself Sunset Series and Port Of Sparta. Kylasi after the start came inwards and checked itself and Take Him. Breathlyse Me continued her inward movement and checked itself and Take Him on two occasions in the run to the turn out of the back straight. Sunset Series and Port Of Sparta came together on the home turn for a stride. Bigtime Groovy (B.R.D.Cole) Ex Wanganui 11-01-08
Race 2	THORNTON AUCTIONS SPRINT FEATURE - C3 - 318	Rialto Gun and Soprano Soldier were the slowest to begin. In the run to the first turn Miss Cool Dash ran inwards forcing Rainbow Creek onto Royal Escort, Rainbow creek was the worst effected runner in this incident and following this check Rainbow Creek ran out and contacted Keroma Safari checking this runner. Keroma Safari was checked off stride and ran out clipping Soprano Soldier following this incident when Keroma Safari dropped back Rialto Gun contacted the hindquaters of Keroma Safari causing this runner to fall. A post race veterinary examination of keroma Safari revealed a left Tibia Fibula fracture requiring a 90 day standown from racing. Race 3	CAROL'S TABS SPRINT - HEAT 2 - C0q - 318 Heat 1	Young Valiant and Proof Pistol were the slowest to begin. Cawbourne Vito went up with the lids at the start and after jumping ran inwards forcing Our cheetah onto Young Valiant checking these two runners for a stride. Elite Fitness and Stolen Thunder came together as the field raced into the turn out of the back straight. Around the first bend Young Valiant ran inwards and contacted Proof Pistol checking this runner for a stride. Our Cheetah and Stolen Thunder came together on the home bend for a stride. Race 4	LIVESPORTSBAR.COM STAKES - C2 - 527	Thrilling Evo was the slowest to begin. Rewired came together with Take The Micky after the start both of these runners were checked for a stride. Rewired continued its inward movement and forced Take The Micky onto Common Error as the field raced into the first bend with checks to these runners. Rewired was checked once more when Common Error crossed to the rail at the end of the back straight Rewired was checked once more when Kaimai Gold contacted this runner as it dropped back. Rewired was sent for a Vet Check after this race which revealed no abnormalities. San Shin (D.L.Annette) Bruising and Oedema left fore. Dog presented Vet certificate supplied Rule 64 12 10 days to and including 21-01-08.
Race 5	NUTRIENCE STAKES - C1 - 527	Homebush Stella and Lady Elsie were the slowest to begin with these two runners contacting each other after the start. Thrilling Milly and Eyes A Title contacted each other for a stride after the start.
Race 6	INTERISLANDER SPRINT - C4 - 318	Sydenham Green and New Clear Power were the slowest to begin. After the start Harka Lee ran inwards forcing Touch Of Smokey onto Teejay, Teejay was pushed onto Dreamaqueen with these runners being checked in this incident. Homebush View ran out after the start and also contacted Dreamaqueen as a consequence Teekay was denied clear racing room.
Race 7	PELORUS TRUST STAKES - C3/4 - 527	Rialto Rosie was observed to check off the heels of My Charlston as the field raced into the turn out of the back straight. Thrilling Piper (P.Freeman & A Turnwald) injuries to left and right front Meticarpals Vet certificate supplied Rule 64 12 10 days to and including 20-01-08 Dream Trip ( G.B.Darcy) Cabbage Wort Left Fore digit 3, P3, Dog Presented vet certificate supplied. Rule 64 12 5 days to and including 17-01-08 Damage Mode (P.Freeman & A.Turnwald) Right extensor Tendon injury Vet certificate supplied Rule 64 12 10 days to and including 20-01-08
Race 8	JACK'S WHOLESALE MEATS SPRINT - C5 - 318	Mercy ran out after the start and contacted Star Conquest with both of these runners being checked for a stride. Big Pa and Go Now came together after the start with Go Now worst affected and just about turned in this incident. Go Now dropped to the rear after this incident obtained a rails run and won. End Zone and Longford Annie contacted each other around the home bend with both of these runners being checked for a stride.
Race 9	PACIFIC SHEET & COIL (NZ) STAKES - C3/4 - 527	Killer Touch and Ashbourne Falcon were the slowest to begin. Into the first turn Killer Touch checked off the hindquaters of Investigate, following this incident Investigate came out and checked Cawbourne Baron who dropped to the rear. Cawbourne Bandit (P.Freeman & A Turnwald) Severe active focal dermatitis Vet certificate supplied Rule 64 12 14 days to and including 24-01-08.
Race 10	THE ALAMO BAR & GRILL SPRINT - C2 - 318	Thrilling Zoe and Bigtime Dancer were the slowest to begin. After the jump Bigtime Express came in and contacted Mohican Harry, Bigtime Dancer ran in and contacted Thrilling Zoe, Mohican Harry contacted Just Rockin these runners suffered checks to varying degree's in these incidents.
