Judicial report: Weather: Fine Trainer P Boon was fined $50 for a breach of Rule 69.11 in that SURF IT UP weighed in 1.4kg down on his last race start weight.
Trainer P Boon was charged with a breach of Rule 88.1.q arising from an incident at the Auckland GRC meeting on 23 November 2007. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and the matter was adjourned by the adjudicating steward to be reconvened at Auckland GRC meeting on Sunday 13 January 2008.
Trainer A Cleaver received a warning and reminded of his obligations with regards to Rule 72.9.c following an incident after the boxing of dogs for race 2.

Race 1 GREYHOUNDS NORTH MAIDEN DISTANCE SERIES - HEAT 1 - C0dq - 630 Heat 1 KING JACK was slow away but made ground late to finish fourth. SURF IT UP and FREEZING POINT came into contact on the first bend with both losing ground. KING JACK checked FREEZING POINT at the bottom of the back straight.
Race 2 DINSDALE DASH - C0 - 375 YOUNG VALIANT and THRILLING AMY were both very slow to begin with the later running on very well for third. RAPID FOOT checked YOUNG VALIANT racing into the first bend. RIB CAGE ran wide on the bend and bumped YOUNG VALIANT with both dogs losing ground.
Race 3 MATANGI MAIDEN - C0 - 457 SKIP THE LABEL moved out rapidly from the fence racing into the first bend causing a check to PANDA ANNE and a severe check to KIND GESTURE all three dogs losing considerable ground.
Race 4 SUPERIOR CHUNKY DOG ROLL SPRINT - C1 - 375 SIMON checked off the heels of GOLD FOOT racing into the first bend losing ground. CALM RIP (D W Matthews). Biten by another dog. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 14 day stand down up to and including 22/1/08
Race 5 WAIKTAO RACEPIX STAKES - C1 - 457 Shortly after the start LAURETANA BOY pushed KEEP YA COOL onto BILLY THUNDER and CLOSE COMBAT. BILLY THUNDER ran out on the first bend forcing CHIVAS REGAL over extra ground. BILLY THUNDER then got onto the heels of TO THE MAX. THRILLING SMILE (A Cleaver). Inadvertant drug administration 7 day with holding period. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 7 day stand down up to and including 15/1/08
Race 6 JANUARY DASH - C2 - 375 BIG TIME DANCER went up with the lids at the start. There was general tightening racing into the first bend with THRILLING TOM, CATCHWORD, CALL ME GIZMO, TEMPEST LASS and BIG ARCHIE all being effected. CATCHWORD cleared the interferance to run home well for second.
Race 7 T.A.B. PUMP & AUTOMOTIVE DASH - C2/3 - 375 MONTANA MONARCH ran out on the first bend causing minor checks to MUMBLE JUMBLE and DREAM ON CYRUS.
Race 8 THE INTERISLANDER - C5 - 457 THRILLING TEAR jumped with the field but drifted approaching the first bend finishing a long last. A post race veterinary check of THRILLING TEAR revealed a gracilus muscle injury requiring a 28 day stand down. VICTORY CHANT (W Steele). Tensor fascia lata tear/scar. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 10 day stand down up to and including 17/1/08 MISS VEE EIGHT (P & L Henley). Inflamed left fore metacarpal tendons. Dog presented. Rule 64.12. 10 day stand down up to and including 19/1/08 THRILLING TEAR (K Sutch-Jones). Gracilus muscle injury. Rule 82.1. 28 day stand down up to and including 6/2/08
Race 9 RACEWAY SPRINT - C4/5 - 375 DREAMAQUEEN was squeezed between RIALTO MISSION and AUDITORS FLAME and was forced back to last.
Race 10 CAMBRIDGE STAKES - C3/4 - 457 MICRO BENNY began well to lead early but drifted back from the end of the back straight. MICKI (W Steele). Tendon strain. Veterinary certificate supplied. Rule 64.12. 21 day stand down up to and including 28/1/08.
