INTENTION KNOWN was a late scratching at kennelling on veterinary advice with an injury requiring a five day stand down . | Race 2 | SALMOND ENTERPRISES LTD - C1 - 375 | FERVID was slow away Soon after the start FLIRTATIOUS WINK was hit from behind by PREMIERE STAR who was trying to get across to the rail, both dogs recovered to run into placings at the finish. Racing into the first turn FERVID was trying to make up lost ground ran up on the heels of QUICK LAUGH ,and both dogs lost ground at that point. | Race 3 | PAUL CLARIDGE ELECTRICAL - C2 - 375 | Racing down to the first turn there was jostling between THRILLING ISAAC, REBEL ALLIANCE and MIDNIGHT TEMPER as they were all trying to get clear racing room, as a result of this MIDNIGHT TEMPER and REBEL ALLIANCE lost all chance through getting on heels and checking back to the rear. These three dogs filled the last three placings. COMANCHE BRAVE gained a start in race five. | Race 4 | PORTER HIRE PALMERSTON NORTH - C3/4 - 375 | At the start LUKE SAMMY ZAK came across and crowded THRILLING BURN and PRAISE, soon after this DREAMY LOVE came across and checked the dogs inside him at that point THRILLING BURN was checked back to the rear in this incident but recovered well to gain a run through the field to finish in fourth placing. Racing into the first turn THRILLING CLASS--came out wide and forced LUKE SAMMY ZAK wide around the top bend ,costing him any chance there after finishing at the rear.--------. | Race 5 | MORRIE GIBBONS SIGNS WANGANUI - C2/3 - 375 | Soon after the start THRILLING MELODY crowded the dogs inside her ,then THOMAS THE TANK raced across the field and caused severe crowding to the dogs inside him causing CRACKER HAND ,WEONA PIRATE and THRILLING MELODY to lose ground. On the point of the top bend CRACKER HAND again struck trouble as WEONA PIRATE tried to rail up inside him and he was checked back again and lost more ground which he could'nt make up and finished in second to last place. | Race 6 | INTERISLANDER - C4/5 - 375 | Soon after the start there was crowding and jostling caused by MISS EBONY ROSE trying to get across and SYDENHAM GREEN trying to keep a straight line,BIGTIME ROYALE was the worst affected by this incident being shunted back to the rear as they raced into the first turn The race winner MY GIRL REBBEKAH and TEEJAY were the only dogs not affected by the crowding.----------. |

| Race 8 | RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C1 - 457 | Racing into the first turn GATLIN JEWEL and MAURITIUS where jostling for some distance untill MAURITIUS could get past and cross over in front of GATLIN JEWEL who clipped that dogs heels and both dogs finished towards the rear of the field. |
| Race 9 | OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C2/3 - 457 | JAW BORN was very slow to leave the boxes and could'nt make up that ground there after. MAJOR CONQUEST raced wide the whole journey costing him valuable ground throughout journey. ROCKET WOLF was a late scratching due to a transport breakdown, no penalty was imposed.
