Judicial report: Weather: overcast Trainer A TURNWALD admitted a breach of rule 68.6 in that she presented the wrong dog for kennelling in race 6. She was fined $50.00 Kennel steward P BLANCHE admitted a breach of rule 88.1.O in that she failed to properly identify a dog presented for kennelling .she was fined$50.00.----------

Race 1	TAYLOR ENGINEERING, WANGANUI - C0 - 375	The programme was put back one race all day except for race ten ,that race was only put back twenty three minutes. As there was a problem with the power supply to trackside feed a short time before race one. At the start JAYDEEMORE ,JENNIMORE and SHY ANN ROSE came together for several strides, JENNIMORE was squeezed out to the rear in this incident and ran on late for 5th placing Halfway around the top bend SHY ANN ROSE was racing in the middle of the field and was severley checked and fell as DOUBLE DE CLUTCH raced around her and tried to cross over,SHY ANN ROSE recovered her footing to finish some distance back. SHY ANN ROSE was sent for a veterinary examination, no abnormalities where found no stand down was required. DRIVING FOREWARD was given a veterinary examination, an injury was detected and a seven day stand down was imposed. DRIVING FORWARD L D Bell abrasion to left stopper pad Rule 82.1. 7 days stand down to and including 13.01.08
Race 2	GEON WELLINGTON - C1 - 375	Going into the first turn THRILLING CHARM ran up on the heels of KENMARE and almost dragged that dog down, that caused these two dogs to run wide around the top bend losing all chance there after.--------. THRILLING LADY M J Lozell ex waikato 4.01.08 THRILLING BETH A Udy dog presented vet certificate supplied bruising to neck and shoulder Rule 64.12. 10 days stand down to and including 15.01.08
Race 3	FREEDOM PRINT & DESIGN HOUSE - C2 - 375	As the field raced across the top bend IS A HAND had to check back off the heels of BIGTIME SYD and lost ground at that point. As the field galloped across the line IS A HAND was observed not to be galloping properly and was sent for a veterinary examination. IS A HAND was found to have an injury requiring a five day stand down.----------. THRILLING FISH A Udy dog presented vet certificate supplied injury to left triceps muscle Rule 64.12 . 10 days stand down to and including 15.01.08 IS A HAND S R Fagan galloped on from behind . Rule 82.1. 5 days stand down to and including 11.01.08
Race 4	TIM JOLLY COMMERCIALS, TAUPO - C0 - 457	THRILLING WOLF was slow away ,but made up ground throughout the race to run down the pacemaker and win well.Soon after the start GOES SIROCCO and FREEZING POINT came together for several strides.Racing into the first turn there was buffeting between INTENTION KNOWN, GOES SIRROCCO ,LEELY MOANA and ARATAKI LAD as THRILLING WOLF came out looking for racing room, this set off a chain reaction resulting in FREEZING POINT falling, he regained his feet and finished the race some distance behind the field.FREEZING POINT was sent for a veterinary examination , no abnormalities were found ,no stand down required. ------. .
Race 5	MCENTEE EVENT HIRE SPRINT - C3 - 375	THRILLING RIDDLE (fav) was only fairly away and in trying to make up ground came into contact with the running rail on the point of the first turn and never got back into the race thereafter.THRILLING RIDDLE was sent for a veterinary examination where no abnormalities were found, no stand down required.As the field left the boxes there was contact between ROYAL AUSTY,SOPRANO SOLDIER and ARANUI SPEEDY for a couple of strides.--------.
Race 6	INTERISLANDER - C4 - 375	THRILLING BURN left the boxes fine ,but after 30 metres he went down on his haunches and was observed to be uncomfortable from there on in and finished some distance behind the field, and was sent for a veterinary examination. A veterinary examination found no abnormalities no stand down required. ----------.
Race 7	DAILY GREYS TIPLINE 0900-42477 - C5 - 375	All clear.----------.
Race 8	RADIOWORKS MANAWATU - C1 - 457	Trainer P Freeman requested that RODGER BAXTER be boxed first today ,as being a large dog he said that it was difficult to get the door closed behind the dog. .RODGER BAXTER was observed to be fine to box. Racing into the first turn THRILLING BREE had to check back off the heels of RODGER BAXTER as field were keeping their ground
Race 9	OUTBACK TRADING COMPANY LTD - C2 - 457	As the field raced towards the first turn there was jostling between the field as some dogs tried to come off the inside and others trying to get to the rail.RHYMOR REASON came out onto THRILLING SUNNY severly checking that dog as they entered the first turn, as this was occuring LOTTO BALLS(fav) came out from the fence and got caught on the outside of these two dogs and was checked to the outside of the track as was FLY BEAU and these four dogs were forced to race over a lot of extra ground costing them any chance of a dividend bearing place. JOELSON S R Fagan right brachialis injury dog presented vet certificate supplied Late scratching Rule 68.26. 10 days stand down to and including 16.01.08
Race 10	WIZARD HOME LOANS - C4/5 - 457	As the field made their way around the top bend CAWBOURNE BOBBY who was racing in 2nd place faltered badly free of interference and went back through the field taking YOUR MY LADY(fav) and JONNY MARCO with him ..CAWBOURNE BOBBY continued on to the finish some distance behind the field . YOUR MY LADY and JONNY MARCO had their chances extinguished in this incident.CAWBOURNE BOBBY was sent for a veterinary examination where it was found to have suffered a fracture of the right hock and was euthanased. Due to trackside having other commitments there was no head on coverage of this race----------. JIMMY HALL AT &JM Hall injury to first inter phacangeal joint of p2 on left front dog presented vet certificate supplied Late scratching Rule 68.26 . 10 days stand down to and including 16.01.08 CAWBOURNE BOBBY T A Green fractured hock dog euthansed
