Judicial report: Weather: Fine The Wairarapa Club was fined $ 200-00 under Rule 88.1 o after the Secretary admitted a breach of the rules in that she withdrew the dog JUST A DRIP from the field prior to the box draw and without any advice from the Trainer. The field was redrawn and JUST A DRIP took its place in the race.

DANCING JAZZY checked over the heels of JAYDEEMORE on the home turn and lost ground and possibly the chance of a placing. RUTHLESS IMAGE W.Morris Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.01.08.
Race 2 KEINZLEY AGVETS - C2/3 - 290 The favourite GUS THE BUILDER was slow to begin and tailed the field throughout and finished in last place.
Race 3 BRUCE MCLEAN PAINTER - C1/2 - 545 All clear. HUTT PARK FLYER O.Marron Rule 64 Suffering from a toe nail injury and stood down for 10 days to and including 10.01.08. LITTLE PRESSY W.Morris Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 11.01.08. TRAVEL HAPPY W.Morris Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.01.08.
Race 4 HEADSTONES WAIRARAPA - C1 - 290 One of the favourites CALM ILLUSION scrambled out of the boxes and lost several lengths but then made up ground well until checked on the home turn and she finished in 2nd last place. ONE FOR JACK was handy to the first corner but was checked there and again on the home turn when bumping with CALM ILLUSION and finished in last place.
Race 5 TRUST HOUSE NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP HURDLES - C1/2h - 545 All clear. NGAPUHI BOY W.Morris Rule 64 Suffering from gastroenteritis and stood down for 10 days to and including 12.01.08
Race 6 NEW ZEALAND RACING SERIES GRADUATION FINAL - RESf - 545 TIGER INDY WOODS began awkwardly and lost several lengths but then made up ground well for 4th place. DRIVING FORWARD was checked on the first corner and ran wide on the bend over extra ground and finished in last place.
Race 7 SOUTH WAIRARAPA VETS - C2 - 290 The favourite JEN'S LASS was handy until part way around the bend but then rolled out and checked off the heels of EMILY BREEZE and dropped back through the field and finished in last place.
Race 8 FAGAN MOTORS - C1 - 290 CLASSY BREEZE turned in the boxes and took no part in the race and is required to complete a satisfactory trial under Rule 81.1 before next competing in a Tote race. HOMEBUSH CHRIS dropped out soon after the start and tailed the field home by several lengths. HOMEBUSH CHRIS was examined by the Vet and stood down for 14 days with a gracilus injury. TYPHOON GRACIE was checked on the home turn, lost several lengths and all chance of a placing. HOMEBUSH CHRIS J.Elers Rule 82 Suffered a gracilus muscle injury and stood down for 14 days to and including 16.01.08.
Race 9 B & P ENGINEERING - C4/5 - 290 ZAC ATTACK and SWEET SECRET were slow to begin and lost four lengths. They then bumped together on the home turn losing more ground and they finished 5th and 6th. HOMEBUSH JENNA was handy to the first corner but was checked and dropped back to finish in last place. PATTYS ANSWER G & S Hayden Holmes Rule 64 Suffering from a metacarpal laceration and stood down for 7 days to and including 07.01.08
